JESS: Up until a few minutes ago I was super excited that this story was #247 on what's hot list but now It's not :(
HELP CFM GET BACK ON :P
Oh well it isn't the end of the world.
It's still doing amazing: Adventure #16 / Romance #95
I still can't believe the amazing feedback I got for just the prologue!
JHKDASAHD!!! I'm so proud!
Now anyway about the prologue I want to clear a few things out, I know it doesn't have a lot of description in it, but it was already REALLY long for a prologue so I had to cut a lot of the description out.
Although after a few chapters I WILL go back and do a mass edit changing a few things around a bit, fixing any typos etc.
So leave feedback on the 1st chapter. I just wrote it and apologies for the lack of pages.

Chapter 2
_____________
"What do you mean there were no fingerprints! That is my daughter, the princess and future Queen!" The king shouted to the team of police officers, detectives and private investigators.
He tried remaining calm but all he could think of was the panic filled state of the ball when the body of the dead bodyguard was found.
"We are working nonstop, your highness and we won't rest until we find her." One of the detectives assured. "You can count on that."
"If I see even one scratch on her..." the king warned.
"We'll find her before they even have the chance."

I yawned as I woke up, twisting my stiff neck and trying to stretch my arms. I immediately stilled when my arms wouldn't budge, my eyes shot open as I become aware of the fact that I was tied to a pillar by my ankles, stomach and wrists.
I slowly looked down at my ankles praying to every deity I could think of, hoping for my dear life that I wasn't tied by duct tape.
When I finished praying silently I opened my eyes and could have done a happy dance when I saw that it was in fact, a coil of rope.
"Yes!" I silently cheered grinning like the Cheshire cat.
They obviously didn't realize how many times I had been kidnapped.
Amateurs...
I just had to wait for the right time to break free. Piece of cake.
I took this opportunity to take a thorough look at my surroundings and see if I could spot anything that could be useful for my escape.
Honestly, I was expecting to be in some sort of warehouse like every other time but was surprised to notice that I was actually in what looked to be an old basement. That is if you could even call it that considering how low the ceiling was.
I groaned, would I even be able to stand?
The basement was completely bare with the exception of a few coils of rope scattered along the dust covered floor and a single roll of duct tape, as well as a few rotting wooden pillars like the one I was currently tied to.
There were no windows or doors from what I could see and much to my dismay I couldn't twist around to look behind me.
The whole room, from what I could see of it at least, had an eerie feel to it as if it was out of a horror movie. Instead of there being an idiotic character that knowingly went into the creepy house however, I had been kidnapped from a royal ball.
"I'd still probably prefer this basement over the ball though," I muttered with a shrug.
Disappointed that I hadn't found anything I could use to my advantage, I tried to recall if at any stage I had woken up while being brought here.
Closing my eyes I tried to clear my mind and control my breathing like I always did when trying to remember something.
In...out...in-
"Well aint that peachy. Who would have thought I'd ever see a princess meditate," a scruffy voice snickered.
My eyes shot open, fixating on the masked man in front of me. I squinted trying to memorize every little detail about him that I could distinguish.
He was wearing a black ski mask preventing me from seeing anything but his brown eyes and filthy yellow teeth that seemed to be smirking at me.
He was dressed in a stained wife beater that I assumed was once white with grey track pants. I grimaced at how his top had risen almost to his belly button showing off his massive gut and disgusting black snail trail.
"What do you want?" I questioned bluntly, this was a test I had learned after my second kidnapping. It determined the type of person I was dealing with; a psychopath or a desperate poor man.
"I don't think you're in any position to be asking the question, Princess," he said with an almost snarl, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a pack of smokes. He lit up a cigarette and pressed it against his lips taking in a long breath as he crouched down in front of me.
"You call me princess yet you show no sign of respect," I replied immediately.
"You aint done nothing to be earning my respect," he retorted, blowing out a cloud of smoke into my face.
I raised an eyebrow not understand his action. If he was trying to be intimidating, he was failing miserably. If he was trying to make me cough from second degree smoke though this man obviously hadn't done his research properly. Smoke didn't bother me.
"Why kidnap me then if I obviously mean nothing to you?"
"Damn straight ya don't ya spoilt brat!" he snarled, his voice rising. "But you mean something to a lot of idiots out there and they'd do a lot to get ya back."
"They would also do a lot to get you locked up behind bars. If I'm not mistaken you were not the man who grabbed me from the bathrooms?" I questioned trying to get more information out of him.
"Oh, we got a smart one. What gave it away?" he asked mockingly.
"Just your obesity..." I shrugged casually, testing his patience.
"What a charming Queen you'll be," he muttered before standing up from his crouched down position.
"Oh shucks, you're so polite," I gushed mockingly. "Now tell me 'Big' boy, why are you down here?" I asked emphasizing the word 'big' in the hopes of getting a reaction out of him.
He stood in front of me for a minute before throwing his cigarette at me and walking off behind me.
I heard the slam of a door followed by the click of a lock, wincing at the still lit cigarette that had fallen on my chest, burning it before falling onto my lap. I shrieked while wriggling around, trying to get it off my lap, afraid that my dress would catch on fire.
When it landed on the floor I nearly slapped my head in stupidity. This was too easy!
Squirming around a bit, I maneuvered my wrists so that the coil of rope was near the lit end of the cigarette, hoping that it would at least burn it even the slightest bit.
While that was a work in progress I rubbed my ankles together trying to get the rope holding my legs to loosen enough for me to escape.
How stupid were these men?
