Josh POV

It's 7:00am, school starts at 7:30am I am leaving my house to get to school. As I am walking out of my door to my car in the driveway I see Jennifer coming out of her house.

I decide to go and wish her a good morning considering I might not get to talk to her in school. I am working on getting her to like me and making her believe that I am not afraid of hanging out with her.

I make my way over to her just as she is opening her car door.

"Good morning" I say, while her back is turned to me, I can tell she freezes because her hand stops right before the handle of the door of the car.

She slowly turns around and I see that she is wearing glasses, which makes me frown. It's not that she doesn't look good with glasses it's that it makes it easier for everyone to make fun of her, which I am starting to hate.

"Uh...morning" she says hesitantly

"You are wearing glasses..." I frown, I think she gets scared because I can see that her eyes grow wide and she releases a soft gasp

"S-sorry" she stutters, quickly removing her glasses

"It's ok, don't apologise" I smile at her

"What...what are you doing here?" she questions

"I came to ask you if you needed a ride and if you liked the cinnamon rolls my mom made"

"The cinnamon rolls were amazing! Thank you" she grins

"Your welcome"

"And I don't really need a ride but thank you"

"Are you sure?" I ask her

"Yes"

Just as I am about to convince her a car pulls up beside us and someone comes out. It's that guy what was him name? Oh yeah, Lucas.

"Lucas?" Jen questions walking towards him

"Hey Jenny" he smiles excitedly

"Hey! What are you doing here?"

"I told them" he smiles

"Really? How did it go?" Jen asks enthusiastically

"It was great! They cried and stuff but s'all good" Lucas replies, embracing Jennifer in a massive bear hug

The curiosity builds up inside me, what is going on? They stay in the hug for a few seconds and I start getting jealous.

"Ahem" I clear my throat

"Oh sorry. Hi Josh!" Lucas smiles

"Hello" I nod

"Lucas I am getting late for school so will you be here when I get back?" Jen questions

"You bet I will, I want to hear all about your day and I swear if that stupid bully tries to even touch you I will kick his ass" Lucas says, making Jen chuckle

"Aww thanks" she smiles awkwardly, knowing that her bully is standing right behind here trying to start things over "but you don't want to hear about my day"

"I do want to hear about your day, you are my bestie" he grins, making me roll my eyes, but then he does something that gets my blood boiling, he kisses her cheek!
