Josh POV

I am sick today. School started again today, after winter holidays ended, I am not going to school but I am worried about Jennifer. I am really mad, because Jen and I were going on a second date today, and now we can't.

"I am not coming to school today. So, just warning you, do not bother my girlfriend. Leave her alone" I send it to Liam, Jena and Sam.

Then I send a text to Jennifer. "Hey Jennifer! I am sick so I am not coming to school. I am sorry we can't have our date today."

I put my phone back on my side table, but it rings twice, indicating I got two messages. One from Jen and one from Liam. I open the one from Jen first.

"Hey! I hope you get well soon. If you need anything, tell me. And don't apologise, it's okay." She is so sweet.

"We have no interest in bothering your stupid girlfriend. What the hell happened to you man? You can do so much better" Liam replied.

"Don't call her stupid. And nothing happened to me, and I can't do better. Honestly, she is the one who is out of my league" I text back, I have no interest in knowing about what he would say next so I just fall asleep.

Jen POV

Josh can't come to school, so that means now that his friends know that we are dating I will be a bigger target. But who cares? At least I have Josh.

I arrive at school, parking my car and start walking inside.

"There she is, Jennifer" I hear Jena say, damn it!

"W-what?" I stutter

"What are you thinking, tricking Josh into your stupid little date?" Sam asks

"I didn't trick him" I tell them. "He likes me"

"Yeah sure, NEWS FLASH JENNIFER, no one likes you" Liam yells

"What does he even see in you?" Jena comments

Tears start welling up in my eyes, and I rush from there to my locker. I get through all of my classes, without Josh. I miss him, something I  thought I would never feel.

Soon, school ends and I decide to visit Josh. We can't have our date today, because he is sick.

I get to his house and ring the doorbell. Michelle opens it.

"Hey Michelle, can I see Josh?" I ask her.

"Yeah honey, he is in his room" she smiles

"Thanks" I smile back, and make my way to his room.

Josh POV

There is a knock on my door, "Come in"

Jennifer's head peeks into the room, and I smile. She came to see me!

"Hey sweetheart" I croak out.

"Hi" she replies, coming into my room. "How are you feeling?"

"I am feeling okay" I reply, "What about you?"

"I am good" she answers, sitting on my bed. "Do you need anything?"

"Yeah, can you lie down with me?" I cough

"Yeah, sure" she smiles

She lies down next to me, turned on her side and I am facing her turned on my side too. I can see she just realised that I am shirtless, her eyes roam my chest, and I smile.
