Josh POV

I am going to Jen's house right now, she called me over. It's Spring Break so we don't have school. I get to her house and ring the doorbell, Ben opens the door.

"Hey man" Ben greets, letting me in.

"What's up?" I ask.

"Nothing much, I was just heading out to see Meredith" Ben replied, Meredith is his girlfriend.

"Alright man, have fun" I say, making my way to the stairs.

"Thanks. See ya" Ben responds, smiling.

"See ya" I tell him, making my way upstairs to Jen's room.

Once I get to Jen's room, I knock on the door.

"Come in" Says the voice that I love so much.

I walk in, and smile. She was reading a book, but without her glasses.

"Hey, sweetheart" I smile, she looks up.

"Joshy" she exclaims, and rushes over to me.

I quickly take her in my arms, and hug her tight.

"I missed you" Jen whispers, in my ear.

"I missed you more" I whisper, and hug her tighter.

She pulls away slightly, but she's still in my arms. I kiss her, and she smiles through it. After our moment is over, I pick her up bridal style and walk to her bed.

I sit down in the middle of the bed, with Jen in my lap.

"What are you reading, honey?" I question, picking the book up.

"Macbeth" Jen replies, "I have nothing else to read..."

"Ahh..." I say, "Where are your glasses?"

"Oh, I had two pairs. My last one broke" Jen replies, frowning.

"What about the other one?" I ask, confused.

"Uh...umm...it's broken too" she replies, frowning more.

"How did it break?" I ask, but some how Jen's face falls more.

"It...uh..." Jen stutters, fiddling with her fingers.

I then start remembering. I broke her glasses. My heartbreaks, and I feel awful. I broke her glasses, made her cry, and bullied her on her birthday. On her fucking 18th birthday.

"Sweetheart..." I whisper, nuzzling her cheek. "I-I don't know what to say..."

"Don't say anything, it's okay" Jen smiles, kissing the tip of my nose.

It's not okay though. I want to make it up to her. I ruined her 18th birthday, not only by bullying her but by showing up at her birthday without invitation.

"You know what...it's not okay" I say, after a while. "I'm going to make it up to you for ruining your birthday. I'll see you in an hour, we are going out."

"But Josh-"

"No Jen, I will make it up to you. I'll see you soon, gorgeous. I love you" I say, while walking out of her room.

"Love you too" I hear her call back.

I go to my house, and change into different clothes. I know where to take Jen, and I know she is going to love it.
