Jen POV

Tonight, Josh has organised a New Year's Eve party at his house, it's only the people from school. So he invited me too.

My parents and his parents are having their own party at my house, I don't know if I am going to go. But Josh insisted that I come, so I couldn't say no.

I change into a party outfit, as told by Josh, that's what everyone will be wearing there. I do my usual routine, curl my hair blah blah blah. The outfit that I am wearing is a little revealing but that's okay, I guess there's a first time for everything.

I hurry downstairs because I think I will be late. I see Michelle and Chris sitting on our couch.

"Hi" I smile shyly

"Oh hey honey" They smile, "You look beautiful"

"Thank you"

"You look very nice Jenny Lou" My mother adds

"Thanks mom"

"Now go before the party finishes, bud" My dad chuckles, and I nod.

"Bye. See you later" I laugh

"You too" They call back.

I head down the street to Josh's house where I can already hear the music playing. When I get there the door is open, so I hesitantly walk in.

There is a crowd of people dancing and I can't find a way to get through them, so I just push through bumping into so many people.

"Sorry" I say, as I bump into someone. They glare at me, and I walk faster.

"Sorry" I repeat, as I bump into someone else. I keep bumping into people who are scattered dancing all around the house. How did Josh's parents allow this?

"Sorry" I say when I bump into a muscular chest. I look up to see Josh, smiling down at me.

"It's alright"

"Sorry" I blush, embarrassed.

"It's okay" he repeats, this time chuckling. "So, you came?"

"I did" I reply, "Did you not want me to come?"

"No! No!" he defends, "I was waiting for you to come"

"Really?" I raise an eyebrow.

"Really" he confirms

"So, where's Connor?" I ask

"He must be here somewhere" he leans down to my ear and whispers, "...but you look beautiful. I love the dress"

"Thank you"

"Come with me" He grabs my hand leading me to the backyard where there is surprisingly no one.

"Why isn't anyone here?" I question

"This area is off limits, mom and dad didn't want them destroying our backyard" He moves closer to me.

"When does this party end?" I ask nervously, he laughs.

"Oh baby, this party ends at 11, I wanted to welcome 2017 with just you" he smiles, making me blush.
