Emma woke up in a cold sweat feeling overwhelmingly nauseous. She got up and slowly got to the bathroom
Regina didn't notice anything, till the toilet was flushed.She got up from her desk and walked to the bedroom and into her bathroom. "Emma?"
Emma wiped her few tears away and sat on the floor and leaned against the bathtub "sorry"
"Hey, you have nothing to apologize." she said and sat next to Emma. she had noticed the cold sweat and took a small towel and soaked it on warm water. She wiped Emma's forehead, neck and chest with the warm and soft towel
Emma closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths "it's late, why are you still up?" She asked trying to keep her mind focused on other things
"i have work remember?" she said as she continue wiping every inch of skin that was exposed
"You always have work"
"at least for now" she said and kissed her cheek
Emma nodded and rested her head on her shoulder
Regina softly ran her fingers through her hair and sat there a while in silence, and she broke it after a moment. "You should go back to bed"
Emma sighed and lifted herself up from the floor "I guess"
Regina walked with her on the bed and sat down when she got on the bed
Emma kissed her cheek and layed down over the blankets
"You should try and get some more sleep"
"I know" emma said quietly
"Do you want me to stay till you fall asleep?"
"No, I want you to finish up how ever much work you have so you can join me"
"Okay, but please try to sleep before I come back because this may take more than hour"
Emma glanced at the clock and slightly rolled her eyes "I can try"
"Don't copy my answers dear."She smiled and gave her a soft kiss before she went back to her study
Emma sighed and closed her eyes trying to get back to sleep
Regina just burried her head to her hands for a moment, what a mess all of this was. She started working and worked more than 3 hours again, seeing the clock be closer to 5 when she got up and walked to the bedroom.
Emma had gotten up and put her pajamas on that she had brought and was siting on the floor with her back against the bed. She'd been sitting there a while and looked at the clock when Regina came in
"Emma you are not even in bed."She kneels in front of Emma and rested her hands son Emma's knees.
Emma shrugged "I slept enough during the day. You should go to bed"
"I want you there too, to even try" She said and kissed her cheek gently
Emma sighed and slowly got up getting back into bed
Regina climbed back up with her and got under the covers
Emma kissed her forehead softly and put her arm around her pulling her close
Regina wrapped one arm around Emma and kissed her chest softly as she closed her eyes, and soon fell asleep
Emma just closed her eyes and fell into a light sleep as she held onto Regina
Regina slept the few hours she had before she needed to get up. She turned off the alarm. She felt restless when she woke up, but stayed still as Emma was still sleeping
Emma kept her eyes closed for a while although she was already awake. After a few minutes since Regina had woken up she opened them
Regina gave her a soft kiss when she saw Emma's emerald eyes open. "Morning"
Emma kissed her back "morning" she ran her fingers through Reginas soft dark hair
A small smile appeared to her lips, feeling Emma's fingers in her hair always calmed her down
Emma pecked her lips softly then pulled the blankets up more cuddling into Regina
Regina pulled her close, she would need to get to the office at some point, but now she wanted to spend some time with Emma
Emma rested her head under Regina's chin enjoying the closeness. She was debating going to the station or not
"You should stay here for the day." She said quietly as she rand her fingers through her hair
"And why is that. I've only worked once since we got back" emma closed her eyes
"It's not that, but you may be still sick today, and then you should stay here."
"Fine" emma sighed and kissed her jaw
"Thank you, I can come here and work from home." She said and kissed her nose
