Emma slept most of the night but woke up scared again. She was both glad and sad to wake up alone
Regina sat up and pulled her knees ro her chest trying to control her breathing. She still didn't understand why she reacted so strongly
Emma got up and put on a tank top and shorts to go out for a very early morning run as the sun was barely peaking over the horizon yet, but needed to clear her head. It was pretty cold outside but she started running anyways
Regina forced herself up an tried to stay up till she got to shower as she was still having problems to breath. She turned the shower on and sat on the floor, knees to her chest and head against the title as the cold water washed over her
The cold stung Emma's throat and her breath burned. She kept running faster and harder even though it made everything hurt more. She ended up running on the beach but the sand made her trip and fall
After a while Regina hot out of the shower and went back to her bed. She had tears in her eyes snd her breathing was still rapid. She took her phone and desided her luck by texting Emma. "I can't breath.." she haited to even kind of ask help, even when it was Emma
Emma had just stayed on the ground tying to hold herself together. She had brought her phone and got the message from Regina and replied "I'll be there as soon as I can" emma replied as she got up trying to calm herself down and started running to Regina's the best she could
Regina didn't even open the message when she was curled up on her bed. She had had this kind of attacks in her youth, but it has always gone away by being alone. Now being alone just kept this up
Emma got to Regina's and fumbled with her keys as she was shivering but got the door open and came up to Regina's room to see her curled up on her bed. "I'm here" she whispered as she crawled on the bed placing her hand on Reginas back
Regina turned and wrapped her arms around Emma's neck hugging her tightly. Her breathing started to slow down, getting more normal. She haited to feel like this, weak. "You're cold." she said quietly when she had calmed down enough
"Yea, I know" emma held Regina in her arms protectively and kissed the side of her head "are you okay?" She asked quietly
"Yes" she said against her neck. "Where were you, running?" she asked still tightly holding on Emma
"Around town and at the beach" emma said holding Regina still and softly stroking her hair
Regina nodded her breathing finally going normally. "Sorry I interrupted you"
"You didn't" emma eased her grip and gave her a soft kiss "my morning hasn't been too great either"
Regina looked at Emma brushing small strads out of her face. "So tell me about yours" she said and gave her a soft kiss
Emma softly kissed her back "I woke up again"
"And went running?" she knew there propably as more
"I thought it would help me clear my head. It worked for a while. The cold was numbing. The pain was distracting, till I fell at the beach and it was all just brought back..."
Regina looked at Emma with sad eyes and kissed her cheek. "I won't that happen again, I'm not letting anyone to hurt you like that time" she promised and kissed her cheek again
"I know. But it won't get out of my head" emma said quietly and rested her head against Regina's shoulder
Regina stroked her hair softly and rubbed her back. "Not mine ether"
"I'm so sorry Regina" emma said quietly into her shoulder
"About what, this isn't your fault." she said and kissed the side of her neck
"I feel like it is my fault. Everything. All the pain caused to you since we've been together"
Regina moved and placed two soft finger under Emma's chin and lifted her head to look at her. "Emma you know I've been through a lot. This is not the worse part of my life. And it has not been your fault how other people behave"
"I know this hasn't been the worst, but you don't deserve anything bad in your life anymore. But it's like a chain reaction since I first broke up with Hook. It's my fault" emma said looking at her with slightly teary eyes
