We all jumped up out of bed and headed down to the common room, sleepy people were rubbing their eyes and a bunch of first years were all huddled together.

"Who shouted?"

"What happened?"

Fred was the last person down and saw us all clapping his hands together.

"Excellent, are we carrying on?" I rolled my eyes and slapped his arm.

Everyone back upstairs!" said Percy from behind me causing me to jump out of my skin, hurrying into the common room and pinning his Head Boy badge to his pajamas as he spoke.

"Perce, Sirius Black!" Ron said faintly. "In our dormitory! With a knife! Woke me up!"

The common room went very still. I went stiff, Fred put an arm around me. I looked up and at him to see his face full of worry.

"Do you know?" I whispered, he nodded with a sigh.

"Dad told George and I to keep an eye out on you."

"Nonsense!" said Percy, looking startled. "You had too much to eat, Ron -- had a nightmare --"

"I'm telling you-"

"Right! That is enough" Professor McGonagall was back. She slammed the portrait behind her as she entered the common room and stared furiously around.

"I am delighted that Gryffindor won the match, but this is getting ridiculous! Percy, I expected better of you!"

"I was not apart of this Professor!" Percy said puffing his chest out. "My brother has had a nightmare and woken everyone up, I was telling them to go back to bed and-"

"IT WASN'T A NIGHTMARE!" Ron shouted, "PROFESSOR, I WOKE UP, AND SIRIUS BLACK WAS STANDING OVER ME WITH A KNIFE. IM TELLING YOU IT WASN'T A NIGHTMARE!"

My breath caught in my chest, Sirius wouldn't do this would he?

"Don't be ridiculous, Weasley, how could he possibly have gotten through the portrait hole?" Minnie started at him as he was cast as she said this.

"I don't know, ask him!" Ron said, pointing a shaking finger at Sir Cadogan's picture. "Ask him if he saw"

Glaring suspiciously at him, Minnie walked to the portrait. The whole common room following her. We all waited behind the porthole listening to ever world, Fred moved his arms and put them around my waist pulling me against him.

Sir Cadogan, did you just let a man enter Gryffindor Tower?" She asked,

"Certainly, good lady!" cried Sir Cadogan.

There was a stunned silence, both inside and outside the common room. What was he talking about? Why would he do that?

"You -- you did?" said Professor McGonagall. "But -- but the password!"

"He had 'em!" said Sir Cadogan proudly. "Had the whole week's, my lady! Read 'em off a little piece of paper!" My mind immediately thought to someone, I got out of Fred's grip and walked to the back of the group where Neville was.

"I-I d-didn't mean to drop them Juls, they m-must of fell out of my pocket." I nodded and hugged him,

"It's okay Nev, really it is"

"Which person," said Minnie her voice shaking, "which abysmally foolish person wrote down this week's passwords and left them lying around?"

I grabbed Nev's hand and gave it a tight squeeze. There was utter silence, broken by the smallest of terrified squeaks of Nev, trembling from head to fluffy slippered toes, raised his other hand slowly into the air.
