*Juliet's P.O.V*

I sighed as I looked over at James and Evans wrapped in each other's arms. It's been a month since James and I broke up. And a month since James and Lily got together.

We were in the common room finishing the end of lunch break. Remus and I, studying for a Charms exam. I'd gotten changed before as a couple of people, including myself, have got free period. Whoever didn't get an O in the recent potions test had to have an extra class. Remus got an O of course but still wanted to take the extra class.

"Are you okay?" Remus asked from beside me, I looked over at him with a small smile.

"Of course Moony, why wouldn't I be?" I asked, I saw him glance over at them. All I did was nod.

"I think I'm going to go for a walk" I said getting up and putting my books in my bag.

"Do you want me to come with you?" I shook my head and took one last glance at the 'happy couple' and of fucking course they were kissing.

I quickly ran out of the common room and down the stairs, I didn't know where I was going but I just ran. Has he just forgotten about us? I know he's supposed to but it hurts, it hurts so much.

I sat down on a bench in the courtyard and buried my head into my hands, I felt tears spring to my eyes. Why did I have to fall in love? Why does love hurt so much?

"What's the matter with you Louisea?" A voice sneered, I looked up with my blood shot eyes. It was Snape.

"Please not now Severus" I whispered looking at him. His cold stare slowly went away and he sat down next to me.

"What's the matter?" He asked again in a softer voice, I looked over at him in shock. I didn't answer, I just cried. Finally letting everything out.

"How could he just forget about me?" I whispered and looked up at him. He gave me a confused look.

"Who?"

"James..." I whispered, he went wide eye. Severus was smart and probably put everything together.

"D-did you and Potter go out?" I sighed and nodded more tears coming out of my eyes. I had to lie about why we broke up.

"He left me for Lily when she finally said yes. And it just hurts to see them all lovey together."

"How come no one knew about you two?" He asked taking a box out of his inner pocket.

"Since when do you smoke?" I laughed shaking my head a little, Snape was the last person I expected to smoke.

"Since I was like fourteen, anyone why didn't anyone know?" He asked again putting the cigarette into his mouth.

(A/N it was a different time back then, this is in the 70's and most people smoked because not a lot of people knew of the consequences back then. So yes a lot of people smoked)
