Four days came and went. Masky and Hoodie never showed.
On the eighth day they were gone, Toby sat in a chair by one of the living room windows and read a Super Man comic book while listening to music on his phone.
When one of his favorite songs came on, he turned the volume up and adjusted his headphones before going back to his comic book, slightly tapping his foot along to the beat of the music.
He yelped as his chair was suddenly pulled back so that it was only on its two back legs and his comic book fell to the floor as he stared up at Clocky in surprise.
"Come with me," she said and pulled the groaning boy along behind her to her bedroom on the third floor.
She kicked the already ajar door open and let go of Toby once they were both in the bedroom.
Toby watched as his friend searched through her dresser drawers before pulling a newspaper out of one of them and thrusting it into his hands.
"Look," she said as she sat down on her bed and pulled him down beside her. "There's a restaurant hiring in the next town over. It pays $6 a fucking hour, do you know how good of a payment that is for six hours of work? You'd be able to keep up with rent until you find something else. Like, oh I don't know, steeling from houses."
"Clock, I'm a killer, not a thief," the brunette replied before standing back up. "I'll look into this job thing and see if I can do something with it."
He was them promptly shoved out of the room, the door being shut behind him.
With a chuckle and a shake of his head, he made his way back to his bedroom where he flopped onto his bed and let out a long sigh.
"Damn, this really does sound like a good job," he mumbled as he re-read the news paper article before throwing it to the side and spreading out on his bed, slowly falling asleep.
He was woken up only a few minutes later as he felt someone gently shaking him awake.
"Mm, three more minutes," he tiredly mumbled as he turned towards what he assumed was the wall.
"You sure?"
Toby's eyes snapped open and he quickly sat up as he looked back over away from the wall again.
Masky suddenly found himself on the floor with Toby clinging to him, clearly not planning to let go any time soon.
"I missed you," Toby said, his voice muffled as he buried his face in Masky's jacket.
"Missed you too, kid," the older Proxy replied as he kissed his boyfriend's pale cheek.
"I could beat the shit out of you right now," Toby grumbled as he pulled back and glared at the smiling man under him.
"I know you could," Masky whispered before firmly pressing his lips against the younger male's.
*CENSORED. HEAVILY CENSORED. YOU WON'T FIND ANY SMUT HERE. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. SORRY NOT SORRY. HOW DO YOU SAY THAT IN JAPANESE? GOMENASIKE. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH*
Masky sighed as he wrapped an arm around Toby's waist and pulled the half awake boy closer.
"Toby?" he whispered the boy's name.
"Hm?"
"What happened to your shoulder?" he asked as he ran his finger over the small scar.
"Oh, remember how I told you about killing Adam? Well, I got surrounded by all of these police cars and I got shot at twice. The first one missed me, but the second one hit me straight on," Toby replied, shifting a bit before laying his head on Masky's chest.
There was a knock on the door and Toby let out a shout of 'COME IN' before snuggling back up beside his lover.
Hoodie entered the room and closed the door behind him, flicking the light switch up and turning the lights on.
The two males in bed groaned as they shielded their eyes from the temporary blinding light before looking over at their companion.
"I hate to ruin the moment, but Boss needs to talk to all of us. He said it's urgent," the masked man said before stepping back out of the room to allow the two some privacy.
The other two Proxies quickly got dressed before walking out of the room and following Hoodie upstairs.
When they entered the large office, their boss was suddenly right in front of them, his tentacles wildly waving behind him.
"I need all of you to listen very closely. I just got word from my brothers that there is a large group trying to find us. They've figured out that we're somewhere around the area of the town, but they haven't figured out exactly where yet. I need the three of you to be extremely careful while going out tonight, don't put your lives on the line for a kill and don't be seen. I'm not as worried about the others since they rarely go out to kill anymore, but I know that you all go out nearly every night. So again, be careful," the man said before allowing his Proxies to be excused from the room.
Later on in the day, Clocky gave Toby a ride into the next town over where the boy quickly got hired for the job.
"Damn, that was quick," Clocky said as the young man climbed back into her truck.
"They said that I had a nice smile that would make people feel welcome," Toby said with a grin as he repeated the manager's words.
"Thank Slendy for healing that gash of yours. If it wouldn't have been for that, you wouldn't have gotten that job," the young woman mumbled before starting her truck and driving away from the restaurant.
"I have to wear a uniform when I go in, though. Dress shoes, dress pants, dress shirt, bow tie, apron, the whole damn shebang," the brunette grumbled as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"Bow tie? You don't even own any of those," Clocky said then snapped her fingers before doing a quick U-turn in a random parking lot and going in a different direction. "What you need is Hot Topic."
Clocky didn't even have to drag Toby into the mall, he was the one dragging her.
He's fast for a kid who barely exorcises the woman thought as she struggled to keep up with the younger Pasta.
Toby slid into Hot Topic and ran over to their collection of bow ties, many of them having what he deemed 'cool patterns' on them.
After much thinking, he grabbed a Songebob Squarepants bowtie along with Supernatural, Nightmare Before Christmas, and a couple plain ones.
Clock Work paid for them before hauling Toby back out to the truck and driving both of them home.
