POV: Jess
"Whereareyatakinus?" I garbled as the giant burly man hauled Sarah and I on his shoulders to who knows where.
Thankfully, the paralyzer darts they had shot us with when they jumped us was temporary and it only affected my speech a little. But of course, they had to put the freakin collars on us which raised the suckmeter to a 105.
"Didyodosteroidsorsumpin? Yobodyishuge." Sarah slurred trying to get a rise out of the guy. He didn't respond so she continued talking to him, "Ifeelreallydisrespectedbyyohittinmeinmybutt andifeellikeyooweusanapology." Sarah slurred.
"Quiet!" ordered the big man as he picked up his pace.
I didn't know what Sarah was feeling right now. She was always the stronger sister, and seemed to be handling this situation fine with her jokes and mockery, but maybe that was just a cover. I; however, was shitting bricks.
Oh God. What are they going to do to us? Torture us? Kill us? Make us watch Stone Fox?
Sarah caught my eye and gave me an everything-is-going-to-be-alright-look. In that moment, I was grateful to have her as a sister.
Finally we made it to our destination, which was in fact a laboratory. So I guess we would be getting dissected now. (Commencing existential crisis and psycho tantrum). Our kidnapper, so graciously,  dropped us on the hard, cold stone floor of the bright fluorescent lit room.
Been seeing a lot of those kinds of lights. Maybe they thought, "Oh we might be kidnappers, but hey! At least we're trying to help the environment. That's gotta' make this situation a little bit better and more ethical." Assholes. Yeah well guess what. I sold like five fluorescent light bulbs in a school fundraiser, so suck on that! Stop talking Jess. Why don't you observe your surroundings? The readers must be able to know what this room looks like. That's all that matters right now. Fine.
There were stainless steel tables that lined the walls which were covered with clutter: papers, packets, syringes, laptops, various containers of stuff that of unknown crap (Not literally poop. Just stuff I didn't recognize...you probably got that. Shut up Ja...I mean Jess.) Suddenly, some shit I did recognize entered. Dr. Sharm wheeled in on his Dr. Welles wheelchair with a shorter woman with long auburn hair wrapped up in a perfect bun behind him. In his hand he clenched a clipboard.
He glanced at it, "Ahh you must be Target B or Sarah as you go by." he said to Sarah.
"What's it to ya?" she asked grinning as she realized she had just quoted SpongeBob and that her mouth was now not paralyzed.
"Not very much," he said not getting the reference, "just some questions, but I'll wait until everyone is here for that. In the meantime, why don't you take a seat on one of these comfy beds."
With a snap of his fingers we were whisked up by the macho man who had brought us here and dropped onto two gurneys that were just rolled in. The man then handcuffed our hands to the safety bars on the sides of them. Another large guy dropped Sammy on another gurney half unconscious a couple feet away from us.
To pass the time I scoured the area looking for possible exits because that's what characters in a book or movie would do in this situation. Suddenly, I heard a shriek. My eyes turned to see the auburn haired woman taking blood from Sarah.
"I'm going to kill you for that!" Sarah threatened, but with a slight bit of timidness in her voice.
The woman put the blood in a small container. She then approached me with another needle and a similar container. Clenching my now non paralyzed fists and biting my lip I waited for the painful needle to impale my forearm. I felt a pinch in my arm and a tear slid down my cheek.
"You're so brave." Sarah said, showing off her ability to talk normal again like the butt head she was.
I gave her a glaring look. Then, I heard footsteps. With great difficulty because my neck was still partially under the effects of the dart, I turned my head in the opposite direction to see Emma, Aqua, Jack and two other beaten up kids being brought in on similar stretchers. (Jesus! How many times has that word appeared in this chapter?)
"Well, now that the whole gang is here, we can finally talk business." said Sharm.
"Letusgoyou...you...you...," I struggled to come up with a good enough insult, "pileo' sticks!" I shouted, at first proud of my insult, but then I actually realized what I just said and was immediately embarrassed by how lame it was.
"A pile of sticks. Oh, Jessica, surely you can do better than that."
"Yeah, well...your security is awful. It was so easy to break out of our cells. You guys are morons." I shot back, now pleased with both how my mouth wasn't paralyzed any more and because of my better comeback.
I guess it actually must have actually hurt the guy's feelings because without even a second glance he snapped his fingers and one of his goons walked over and gave me a black eye.
"Moving on. The reason for that was because we tried to make it easy for you to escape."
We stared at him confused.
"Oh come on. Do you actually think we forgot to put collars on some of you? Do you actually believe that we would have left some cells guarded with zero to three guards? It was all an act to see what you could do. I am however, still going to use your gifts though, but not to take over the world...just yet."
"Then what do you want to use them for?" Aqua asked now pissed off with the man.
"That is unknown at the moment and it all depends on the answers we get from you."
"So what exactly are your questions?" asked Emma curiously.
"Well...Emma is it? I'm glad you asked. Our questions are not that far fetched. All we wish to know is how you obtained your abilities, how they work and if we can replicate them. That's all."
"And how do you plan on doing that?" Emma questioned.
"By doing various tests on you." he replied.
We exchanged glances with each other, "What kind of tests?" I asked fearing the answer.
"Oh, the usual methods: CAT scans, MRI's, blood tests, measuring your heart rate, seeing how you respond to certain stimuli and we'll even test you in the field!" he said excitedly.
"How bout' no." I said in a perfect Dr. Evil voice.
Aqua glanced over, "I love that movie!"
"How can't you!" I exclaimed, "What's your favorite part?"
"Uhh...My favorite part's gotta' be every part with Fat..."
"That's enough! My god! How hard is it to pay attention to someone talking to you." the man screamed.
"Very." Aqua answered.
"Oh god." he said now rubbing his temples from the headache we were giving him, "This is going to take longer than I expected. Margot, cancel my six o'clock appointment."
Margot looked up, "Ummm. You don't have an six o'clock appointment."
"You idiot! You forgot to schedule it!"
The woman with auburn hair now known as Margot looked down at her feet.
Her cheeks now glowing a strawberry red, "I'm very sorry sir." she quivered clearly terrified of Sharm.
The man put his fingers together, readying them to snap.
Margot's eyes filled with fear and tears, "No. Please." she pleaded on her knees, mascara beginning to stream down her face.
He lowered his fingers and his eyes softened, "Alright Margot," he said holding her chin in his hand staring into her now teary green eyes.
Her face shone with relief, "Thank you sir. It will never happen again."
"You're right it won't," his eyes hardened, "Rocko, take her away and send up the new intern Erin." he growled.
Rocko, who before was guarding the door, walked over grabbed one of her arms and dragged her away.
"No. Please sir reconsider. I'm very valuable to you! You can't do this!" she shrieked as she was yanked out of the room, resisting by digging her heels into the floor.
When she was gone, Sharm swiveled his wheelchair back towards us with the same expression he had on before, "Moving on..."
"Alright. I've gotta' say something here. That whole It will never happen again." Sarah said in a high pitched voice, "You're right it won't! Thing." she said in a low pitched voice, "Then you confuse her and send her away. They use that line in like every movie. Find something new. Also, that was pretty harsh."
"May I continue?" Sharm roared silencing Sarah, "Thank you. Anyway..."
Suddenly, his earpiece started buzzing. He hit the button on it.
"What?" he growled, "I'm in the middle of something here."
His face changed from anger to pure delight, "Oh that's fantastic! Now we have everyone. Bring Target M in as soon as possible. Over and out."
He looked at us with a Grinch like grin, "Guess what? You have another friend coming in, and she's all the way from Antarctica! Isn't this exciting?"
"You kidnaped a researcher from Antarctica?" Emma asked.
''Oh, she's not a researcher. She's from an ancient eskimo tribe that has lived there for centuries."
"How is that even possible?" Emma asked now in her robot version of dumbfoundedness.
"My dear, you can lift things with your mind. This can't be that hard for you to believe. Target M is very extraordinary. We picked her up while she was walking outside her castle through a blizzard wearing just a cloak over her clothes."
"Wait, she has a castle?" Sarah asked.
"Yes, I already said that, but the extraordinary thing is that she can withstand very frigid temperatures." Sharm said now getting annoyed.
"Yeah, Yeah. I heard that part. But if she lives in a castle doesn't that mean that she's loaded?" she inquired now interested in the topic.
"Yes, can we please move on?" Sharm said now furious with us, "Now. If you want to stay alive then you will do exactly as I say. You will cooperate with every test I ask you to do and you will not try to break out or cause any damage to my facility and or personal. I will have Rocko and some of my scientists escort you to your new cells."
"Is the state of these cells better or worse than our previous ones?" asked Sammy, speaking for the first time and making Emma let out a sigh of relief now knowing that he was okay.
"You'l'l have to see for yourself, but I assure you, you won't' be able to break out of these cells." he grinned.
"Farts." Aqua sighed.
"Anyway, I will see you tomorrow early in the morning. You'll need your rest for what we have planned. Good night." he said as he left the room.
The scientists wheeled everyone out on their stretchers except for Sarah and I who were picked up like Raggedy Anne Dolls, hanging helplessly over Rocko's ginormous shoulders, getting banged into doors and walls as he carried us. (Guess he still was a bit mad at us.)
"You try and run. I break your skull with this thumb." Rocko threatened showing us his massive sausage looking thumb.
"Did you get that reference from Ratatouille?" I asked unable to help myself from talking about something Disney related.
This got me slammed against the wall, but it was worth it because Disney is life. For the rest of our journey, I decided to keep my mouth shut as to avoid anymore interactions with the wall. He carried us down a large set of identical hallways each complete with concrete walls and even more fluorescent lights. Finally, we came to our hallway and Rocko clearly pissed off at us, threw Sarah into her cell after he opened it. Unfortunately, Sharm had upped his security. In order to unlock the doors the guard would have to get a retina scan and type in a password for each door. Rocko pushed a button on the keypad after he did his elaborate list of security precautions. This caused two doors to close horizontally. Then two doors (one coming from the bottom, the other from the top) closed. After, two doors coming from opposite diagonal angles collided to enclose Sarah into her prison. He did the same thing with me afterwards.
When I recovered from my rough landing I noticed my surroundings: a stained cot, a security camera in every corner, a disgusting toilet with of course no toilet paper, one single light bulb barely hanging from the ceiling and chain link handcuffs attached to the back wall above the cot. Suddenly, the light bulb flickered out and I was left in the shadowy room alone and freezing. I curled up on the probably bed bug infested cot and pulled a withered, holey blanket over my body and wished I was home. While laying in that disgusting bed for hours, I just looked at the ceiling, trying to soak in all of the events that had just occurred and also trying to not think about where my parents were. However, the second thing did not work as well. Now that I was alone, tears began pouring down my face.
How could this happen? Why did this happen? How did they know? I've got to get out of here. How? There's got to be some way. But wait. Even if I escape there's nothing left for me back in New York. No house. No friends. NO LIFE! Everything is destroyed. Even my parents are gone. I'm going to die here. Sarah is going to die here.
Big sobs were now leaving my throat, making it hard for me to breathe.
No, Jess! You can't just give up like this! There's gotta' be some way. No there isn't. I might have superpowers, but without them I'm no different than the average person. That's what all of us are now. We are all going to die here.

Hey! Thanks for reading.
Sorry you had to wait months for this to come out and it definitely wasn't worth it.
Will Jess become less depressing?
Will her cell become any nicer?
What will the tests the next day hold for her?
Tune in next week (hopefully if biology and English aren't assholes) for another new chapter.
