Jerome POV: Let's see how our favourite psycho's doing ;)

Side note: I am lucky enough to have never attended a funeral before so forgive me if this isn't how it works.

I flopped onto the bed that Kat and I had shared before she selfishly left me. What a joke? I'm not that bad! I was nice, I gave her food sometimes and I didn't shoot her or nothing. I flicked the TV on and immediately regretted it. Her face flashed on the screen, it was her school photo. She looks much better in person, that angle makes her look horrible! Her hair was a dark shade of brown. Her hair isn't brown! It is blood red!

"Katerina Ferdine, a student of Gotham High who heroically sacrificed her own life in place of her peers has officially been pronounced dead this morning."

Took them long enough. Before they could carry on with an over dramatic version of her death I turn the TV back off, laying on the bed and staring at the ceiling. I turn my head, half expecting to see her ruby red hair to be sprawled beside me like it had been the very first night.

She looked like a fallen angel when she slept. Not pure, or pristine, but imperfectly perfect.

STOP! Stop thinking about her! Don't think about her eyes or freckles, or hair. Her hair...

Her laugh...

I'd only heard it once. It felt like something that would normally happen often, I don't know she just seems like a laughy kinda person! I cackled at the thought but the more I laughed the more tears started to fall out of my eyes. What the hell is this? My mind flashed to the time I saw her crying in the corner.

I need to stop this. I'm Jerome Valeska! She was my hostage, nothing more nothing less. A hostage with a pretty face.

"Jerome? Are you still sulking over that buzz kill of a hostage? She died, get over it." Tabitha hissed from the doorframe.

"No." I wiped my tears, from the laughter of course.

"Get up, you are a pathetic excuse of a psychopath." She grumbled before leaving the room altogether. "Theo wants you in his office."

I moved off of the bed and made my way to Theo's office, seeing Barbra in the living room and she shot me a sympathetic look to which I ignored. She's just being a sarcastic bitch like always, plus she's the reason Katerina's dead anyway.

"I have a task for you to do alone." He began and plopped into one of the fancy chairs and propped my legs on the desk. "It has come to my attention that I underestimated the amount of publicity Miss Ferdine had attracted with your stunt. I was given information that her funeral will be held at a small church not too far from here and I would like you to cause as much havoc on it as you can. Her father is the owner of Gotham Gazette so it is perfect for publicity! It will be held tomorrow at 9:00am." He informed me.

I guess I could say goodbye.

"That's a great idea! I can go alone right?" I asked not wanting the others ruining anything.

"No Jerome, this one is just for you." He clarified and I forced a grin to my face.

"Perfect!" I cackled madly as I skipped from the room and back into mine and- No just mine. It was late at night so instead of dealing with Greenwood and the other imbeciles I just went straight to bed, although sleeping was slightly harder because the bed still smelled like her.

"Jerome?" I shot up at the sound of her voice before I saw her, Katerina, standing in the doorframe. She looked just as pretty as she did the first day we met. Except without the cold, that wasn't the most attractive thing.
