When I got home from school and dropping Hunter off at home. I ran up the stairs to jaxons room to see if he wanted to go out to eat.- this was my chance for the 'talk'.

Without knocking I burst through the doors and see him doing push-ups on the ground.

"Jaxon"

"What may?" He says breathlessly

"Let's go out to eat" I bounce up and down

"I'm busy-"

"Doing push ups you don't need to do" I roll my eyes and sit on his bed.

Jaxon had a really boyish room, dark blue walls. Dark mahogany covers on his king sized bed. Weights and stuff everywhere. Clothes everywhere, and your occasional three guns sitting on the dresser

No biggie

"Why do you want to go out to eat?" He begins doing pull ups

"I need someone to talk to" I pull out my phone and record jaxon on snapchat, the caption saying

He thinks he's all that... I could do better duh!

He jumps down and puts a shirt on while watching me"what did Hunter do?" He says with anger laced in his tone

"Nothing, nothing, it's not about him" I reassure him

He softens a little and then runs a hand through his hair. He does a quick nod and goes to his side table picking up his keys " come on stupid" he shouts over his shoulder while walking out the room

We decided to take a cab to Starbucks and get hot chocolate. We already order so we sat down at a table by a window.

"So.... your twenty fifth birthdays on Saturday you exacted" I wiggle my brows

"So excited" he says with a straight, face no emotion at all

"I can tell" I roll my eyes, he tilts his head back and laughs

"How's school going? you've been there for a while now" he crosses his arms and leans onto the table

"It's okay, everyone's nice to me, my grades are really good.... it's just really boring as hell thats all" I play with the necklace I'm wearing

"Cool, cool" he nods while looking around the building

The waitress comes out with our drinks. Like every other girl she stares at jax, but she was different she didn't try to flirt she was just ogling at him.

When she places the cup in front of jax, he says 'thanks' and looks at her real quick. And in a flash he looks back at her and stares

I kick him under the table making him shake his head " hi" he chokes out

The girl blushes and then tucks a strand of hair behind her ear "hi...uh- awe your pretty" she looks to me and smiles

"Thank you" I laugh "I'm Maya, this is my older brother, jaxon"

She looks to him and smiles" hello jaxon"

"Hi...." he looks at her name tag" Annabella" he smiles back

They both stare for a second before she gets called " well I don't want your drinks to get cold, and my shift is over" she laughs" Maya, jaxon" she says before turning around and walking out the door

I put on a wide grin and look at jax, who's watching Annabella get in her car out the window.

Jaxon never had a real girl friend just one night stands. He's never looked at girls like how he just looked at Annabella. This could be something.

"This could be something" I chuckle

He glares at me "shut up, now what did you want to talk about?" He sips his drink

"Don't get mad..... I talked to Jason" I squint one eye and looked at him waiting for him to yell and shout.

But he didn't

"Okay, I did to" he shrugs

"What the fuck, when"

"Yesterday, I was at the gym and he was there to. He explained everything to me and I reported it to dad. He's working on looking into elenas death" he drinks his coco " he's going to see who was in the gang back around her death to find the traitor, and get a spy for micheal"

Well I'm flabbergasted

"Oh uh... okay then do you believe him?" He nods "well why the hell did you fight him, if you had some belief?"

"He used Mia, no one messes with my sisters... oh and I'm trying to man him up, he could have just told you instead of being a pussy" he chuckles

"Oh you know about that to?" He nods " well this talk was-"

I lean closer into jax because I could have sworn I saw a red light. I leaned closer and see a red dot right over his temple. I look out the window and see a black van with a guy leaning out of it with a ak 47.

"Jaxon" I shout he looks out the window wide eyed, before he could do anything, I jump across the table and cover his head putting my back towards the window.

Everyone in the cafe begins screaming and dropping to the floor. Jaxon pulls us down and leans over top of me while pulling his gun out.

"maya salir su arma de fuego" ( Maya get out your gun) he shouts while looking at me like I'm crazy

I try pulling up my arm but it won't move. I get a stinging pain in my whole back and left arm.

"Jaxon.." I say breathlessly. I can feel my whole shoulder getting wet. I see Jaxon look down with wide eyes. I look at his gaze and see my white sweater slowly turning red

"Maya" he whispers before all I see in his eyes are anger" Maya" he shouts while standing up and shooting through the window

Every shot I hear him shout louder and louder. Bullets fly down beside me. Jaxon switches through guns quickly.

Eventually the shots stop and I feel jaxon pick me up. He begins running while saying on repeat

"Quédate conmigo bebé" ( stay with me baby)

I can't

It hurts

I can feel my eyes fluttering close and the darkness taken over me. Before I'm fully gone I feel water hit my face.

I look up and see jaxon crying and shouting for people on the side walk to move

"Maya p-please not you to" he clutches my shirt

"Jaxon" I whisper

"Oh god, Maya hold on- move please move" he shouts

It hurts

"Jaxon I can't"

"No, Maya stop you can come on we're almost there"he shouts for others to move

"I love you" I whisper and let my eyes close

I can't

It hurts

"Fuck...." is the last thing I hear my brother shout before I was gone.

I might have just.....

Said my last words
