Nathan and me hopped into Mari's expensive Mercedes-Benz which she didn't drive herself but her, I guess, butlers sat in the front seats navigating to her house. Rich little prissy... I shook off the hatred and in turn smiled happily to myself thinking of how me and my brother can now start clean. New life, new house, new... me... Everything seems to be going just fine so far... I watched as we past many trees, houses, streets, and then a cemetary... It seemed unbelievable that we have stumbled onto this miraculous opportunity to finally make something of our lives. Mari lightly tapped my shoulder and then tugged onto my shirt like she was a little kid throwing a fit.

"Make sure you keep your end of the deal Ava..." She muttered sadly. It shocked me to hear her sound that way. Usually she was so high of herself, giddy, and most of all annoying. Despite only actually knowing her for only a couple days I already could tell that something was up. Normally I couldn't care less about someone who's in a higher class than me but this is different. I smiled at her nonetheless and then gently rubbed her head.

"I got it Mari..." I muttered softly. We reached her house or should I say hotel because honestly... that's what it looked like. I may have looked calm on the outside but secretly I was screaming a few choice words in my head from excitement and a little confusion on why only 3 people would need this big of a house. Mari kindly led us inside where we were greeted with a man, a woman, and three kids. Two of the kids were girls and the third was a boy whom I could only assume were her siblings. The woman slightly bowed her head at us with a bright smile while the father looked at me all over. He didn't say anything to us and just grunted while the mother led us around the house and outside. The children tugged on Nathan to play with them and so he left leaving me, Mari, and her mother. Just as we entered my room the mother pulled me aside to speak with me.

"Mari is very pleased that you came today... I'm Michelle and this is my husband David." She said in a whisper. "She has had her eyes on you for a very long time but it seems that she was always unable to get close to you due to the gentlemen at your school and just because of how high school works..." I giggled a bit but quickly glanced at Mari who was shyly twirling her hair and avoiding eye contact with me.

"She told me that this was just for a sort of mission I guess you would call it. Even though the reason for why I am here seems to be different I'm still glad that Mari is different from my expectation of how a wealthy lady would act." I said. All of this properish talk is killing me... Mari's mother chuckled in response and reached a hand up to my face and tilted it up to the light.

"Her father may not be so keen on this idea for her but he will come around. After all I feel like you are a very respectful young lady despite all the oddities that you have." Without another word she left and soon me and Mari were now in the room alone.

"So I hear the whole mission of keeping the boys away from you was just to cover up the actual scheme." I said. Mari turned to face me and nodded with a grin.

"So? Is that bad?" She asked with a devilish grin. I sighed and started to walk out of the room with her following me.

"You could have approached me earlier. I know we have our differences but still we could've actually known each other like we do now earlier." I said. Mari smiled and brushed up against me.

"You know it's only been a few days but still you've changed a bit." She said.

"Maybe it's because I'm now with the weirdest rich girl in her house. Not only that but talking about how I may have fallen sooner for you if you had just approached me sooner." I replied. "Right now I'm not here for my brother I'm here for us. From now on let be completely serious with each other." I said reaching for her hand and putting it over my shoulders while I placed my other hand around her waist.

"Your gonna change me but I feel like it will be a good one." She whispered as she pecked me on the cheek.
