I groaned as my warm wall melted away. I felt a pair of lips on my forehead and a hot breath by my ear. "I'll be back. Just rest for now." he said.
My eyes flew open. He looked at me. I half smiled. "Where are you going? you where keeping me warm." I protested.
"Relax. I am going to your dresser for the thermometer. you are sweating like crazy. Marie!" my sister appeared in my door way. "Get me a cold washcloth."
"Sir yes sir!" she mock saluted him and ran to the bathroom, giggling.
"What did the doctor say you have?"
"A minor case of pneumonia. My meds should be arriving in 3...2...1." my mom walked in holding my pills.
I took my temperature first. The thermometer beeped revealing that my fever had broken. I took my pill and Marie laid the cloth on my forehead. my mom and Marie left, leaving just me and Tyler. The competition was this weekend. THE competition befor the final one to see who was to join the olymipic riding team.
I felt Tyler slide next to me again and take the cloth off of my head. He pecked me on the lips and said, "Let's go to the barn."
I smiled and he walked over to my dresser. He pulled out a shirt that was gray and said 'WARNING. This person may talk about horses at any given moment.' Then he grabbed a pair of boot cut jeans. He handed me a pair of baby blue socks and my cowboy boots. I smiled at him and slipped past to get a clean pair of underwear. I took all of my clothes to the bathroom and took a quick shower.
Feeling clean and refreshed, I got dressed and brushed my hair. I put my hair into a simple braid down my back. I put my socks on and brushed my teeth. Tyler met me at the bathroom door and I slipped on my boots. He grabbed my hand and we walked to the barn.
I hadn't seen Dancer for a few days. I was all jittery and excited. I missed the barn.
