We put slipped the horses full body blankets, travel boots, and halters on. All of our halters and saddle pads where the same color, neon blue. It showed that all of us where a team. I loaded Dancer into the trailer with Dawn attached to Tyler's truck. We had room for a pony. "Marie! Bring out Caramel and Teddy!" I shouted.

I loaded Carmel into the trailer with Dancer and Dawn. Marie led Teddy to the 6 horse trailer attached to my moms truck. (It was my dads before he died.)  All of us scrambled around making sure everyone was ready and everything was in check before we pulled all of our luggage to the vehicles waiting below. I was so nervous, I felt like I was going to be sick. This was THE competition. My chance to be on the girls Olympic equestrian team.

I climbed into Tyler's truck. Shutting the door, I buckled my seatbelt. He climbed into the drivers side. He looked over at me as he started the engine. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah. I'm fine. I'm just a huge ball of nerves right now." I answered truthfully.

He leaned over and pecked me on the lips and began pulling out of our driveway. The drive took around 7 or 8 hours. 7 or 8 hours of rest stops, music, conversation, and texting my friends. Everyone insisted that I ride with Tyler and then they all assigned themselves to the other two vehicles. I was almost asleep when we stopped for lunch at ANOTHER rest area. I opened up the trailer. The horses turned their heads to see who was there. I pulled three peppermint disks from my sweatshirt pocket and gave them each one. I closed the trailer and walked up to the picknick table to wait for everyone with Tyler.

Tyler's POV

They all showed up about 15 minutes after us. I was holding Clara in my lap when everyone showed up. When they looked at me funny, I  pointed to her and put my finger to my lips signaling that she had fallen asleep waiting for everyone. Scarlet decided to stay home with Clara's  mom so Sarah was driving Clara's sister and Jordan's sister. Jordan rode with Maddie and Molly. Jasmine rode with Sarah so she wouldn't feel too lonely.

I stood up and carried her to the truck to get our lunches and try to wake up my sleeping girlfriend. I love her so much. When I got to the truck, I set her in the back seat while everyone else filed off to the bathrooms. I tucked a stray strand of her slightly wavy, soft, blonde hair behind her ear. I lightly touched my lips to hers, leaving a fether kiss on her lips. Her eyelids fluttered open and she gave me a small smile. Her baby blue eyes stared into mine and she turned so she could hug me.

I hugged her tightly, pulled her out of the truck and set her on the ground lightly. I grabbed the lunches in one hand and her waist in the other. We walked back to the table where everyone was waiting. All eyes went to my hand on her waist. I just kept walking until we got to the table. I let her sit down and then slid in next to her. I opened up the cooler and pulled out the sandwiches. I gave everyone their sandwiches and we bagan eating. With an hour to go, I was excited. All of us got rooms in a hotel.

When all of us were finished we started to make our way back to the trailers to walk the horses for a while. Clara made her way ahead of me and I lingered in the back. Marie scurried up to me. "Tyler?"

"Yeah Munchkin Marie?" I said back. I gave her the nickname Munchkin Marie when she gave me my nickname.  Tall Tyler.

"How many hours till the hotel?" she asked, her ocean blue eyes looked up at me. I bent down and lifted her small frame into my arms.

"About an hour shorty." I answered.

Carmel was standing with a bareback pad on and I set Marie onto his back. Sarah led him around the parking lot. I led Dawn behind them. Dancer was soon by my side and on top, bareback, was Clara. She slowed to a walk and rode next to me. I stopped and vaulted onto Dawns back.
