The girl rode forward and flew over the jump. Her face was set and her horses ears where pricked. Alert and ready for anything, she gave the signal to go over the next jump. Millions of people where watching as the junior Olympic rider went over the complicated course. Her boyfriend stood to the side in the VIP section, Cheering her on. Her concentration stayed on the focus of why she had to win. With her father killed in a war only 7 months before this moment, she swore to herself that she'd win for him.
When the course was finished and the judges called her name for first place, she said into the microphone, "I would like to dedicate this win to my father. Eric Anderson. He was killed in action only 7 months ago and if I could, I would have him here just to see this moment. Thank you." Her smile never faded. Not even when she cried when she spoke those words. She took her horse, the last thing her father had ever given her, and led her to the trailer to go home. "You know what Dancer? I just realized what my father was living for, Peace, Love, and Horses." She kissed her mares face and loaded her into the trailer.
Its a bitter sweet moment. its over. sad but cool. I want to thank all of you who took the time to read this book. :) Comment, Vote, Fan.
