'Do you ever wish you could just stop everything?' Demi asks glancing up at Joe.
'What do you mean?' He asks and she sighs.
'Just everything... This whole being in the spotlight thing. I just don't think it's for me anymore.' She replies quietly.
'Don't let them do this, Demi. Don't let the press and people get to you. Don't let them push you out of the thing you love most.' He says and she shrugs her shoulders.
'Just doesn't seem worth it anymore.' She admits and he pulls her closer to him.
'Don't let them get you down. You are amazing and your fans absolutely adore you.' He says and she shakes her head.
'What if it's not enough? I feel like I'm drowning, Joe. Everything is just too much.' She replies causing him to sigh.
'Let me take you away for the weekend?' He says kissing the top of her head.
'What?' She asks.
'Let's get away from the media? Clear your head and spend some time with each other.' He suggests.
'Are you sure? I can't ask you to drop everything and come away with me.' She says shaking her head.
'You aren't asking, I'm offering... Look, I wasn't around when things got bad last time but I want to be here and stop things from getting that bad this time if you'll let me.' He says causing her to smile slightly.
'I'd really like that, Joe.' She replies.
'Why don't I drop you back at yours and you can talk to Mike and whoever else you need to talk to.' He says.
'What are you gonna do?' She asks.
'I'll arrange somewhere for us to go.' He replies and she nods her head.
'Okay... Thank you for everything, Joe. Last night and this morning has been exactly what I needed.' She says.
'You don't have to thank me. I know I've not been the best in the past but I want to be there for you and I want you to know you can trust and rely on me to be there.' He replies causing her to smile.
'I know. What happened in the past means nothing now. We were both young and stupid and I had more issues than I could deal with never mind you... Just promise me we won't let things get that bad this time?' She says and he shakes his head.
'We won't... Let's go. The sooner we can get out of LA the better.' He replies moving some hair out of her face.

'I'm going away for a few days, would you be able to watch Batman?' Demi asks as she places the dog on the floor and watches him run towards his water.
'Where are you going?' Mike asks and she sighs.
'I don't know I just need to get away, Mike. This is all too much and I need away from the press, from everything before I do something I'm gonna regret.' She admits.
'You shouldn't be on your own.' He says.
'Joe's going to come with me. It'll only be a few days; I need to get myself out of this situation before things spiral.' She replies and he nods his head.
'Okay. I can watch Batman.' He says and she smiles slightly.
'Thank you.' She replies quietly and he shakes his head.
'You've got nothing to thank me for, I just want you to be okay and if Joe is helping you then I guess that's a good thing.' He says.
'I am okay, I will be okay... I think everything at the moment is just too much. With the media and everything, I just need a break.' She replies and Mike nods his head.
'Then have a break. Go away with Joe and have a good time... Batman will be fine and I'll see you when you get back.' He says.

'Hey, you...' Joe says softly as Demi makes her way towards them carrying her suitcase.
'Hi.' She replies smiling. He takes the case from her and puts it in the car before wrapping his arms around her.
'I've got us a little place way out of civilisation. It'll just be you and me, no media or anything.' He says.
'You're amazing.' She almost whispers letting her head read against his chest.
'Mm... Anything for you.' He says running his hand down her back.
