'What's up with you?' Demi asks as Joe closes the door behind his brother.
'Nothing...' He replies quietly.
'Don't lie to me... You've been quiet all afternoon, ever since I got here actually. Do you want me to leave?' She asks and he quickly shakes his head.
'No. I'm sorry, this wasn't about you. I'm so glad you're here it's just Kevin.' He replies quietly.
'What about Kevin?' She asks following him through to the living room.
'He worked out we were seeing each other and he was saying some stuff earlier.' He replies shrugging his shoulders as he sits down.
'Stuff? What does that even mean?' She asks sitting down beside him.
'He just didn't understand why I would risk putting you through what happened last time.' He says.
'What do you mean?' She asks.
'I broke your heart.' He replies and she sighs.
'What happened to me was not your fault. I'm not going to lie and say us breaking up didn't hurt me but we both know that I would've ended up in treatment regardless of our situation. We could've stayed together and I would still have been on that downward spiral... I was a mess Joe and I needed help.' She says glancing up at him.
'I know but I guess I just can't help feeling guilty, especially when everyone's pointing out everything that went wrong last time.' He replies.
'Don't listen to them then... I'm the one that went through treatment and I'm sitting here saying I want to give this a shot. I'm going into this with my eyes wide open, Joe. I know this might not work but who says we can't have fun seeing if it will?' She says causing him to smile.
'Have I ever told you you're amazing?' He says smiling as he wraps his arm around her shoulders.
'Mmm... You've mentioned it a few times. Can we go lie down now because I'm exhausted.' She replies.

'If you actually want to make it to dinner any time soon you should put some clothes on or close that door.' Joe says causing Demi to smile.
'When your standing there in your underwear and my tshirt from the night before...' She sings and he laughs.
'Your such a tease.' He says as she sticks her tongue out at him.
'Your the one that wanted to go out for dinner... I was quite happy to stay here tonight.' She replies shrugging her shoulders and causing the tshirt she's wearing to rise until it's resting at the top of her thighs.
'I'll cancel.' He says and she shakes her head.
'Kevin and Danielle will have found a baby sitter... Plus didn't you want to prove to your brother that we are serious about this.' She replies causing him to sigh.
'Alright... Well you go get some clothes on.' He says and she nods her head.
'And you can sort yourself out.' She replies. Turning she makes her way downstairs and into the kitchen to grab herself a glass of water.

'Hey, you two...' Danielle says smiling as Demi and Joe make their way towards the table.
'Hi, sorry we're late. The traffic was terrible.' Joe replies pulling out a chair for Demi.
'It's fine. How are you both?' Danielle asks as they both sit down.
'Fine...' Joe replies glancing at Kevin who's not even looking at him.
'You've made quite an impression on my daughter... All Alena went on about on the way back home was you.' Danielle says causing Demi to smile.
'She's great.' Demi replies.
'What you having?' Joe asks glancing at Demi who looks down at the menu.
'I'll just have a chicken Caesar salad.' She replies.
'Is that all?' He asks and she nods her head.
'I'll probably have some of yours as well.' She replies causing him to smile.
'How typical.' He says smiling.
'So when did you two get together?' Kevin asks glancing up at Demi.
'A few weeks ago... Just sort of happened didn't it?' Demi replies smiling at Joe as he nods his head.
'Yeah. It was bizarre but it was so right.' He says and Danielle smiles.
'Well I for one am glad because I haven't seen him this happy in a while.' Danielle says and Joe feels Demi link her fingers through his under the table.
'Thanks, Danielle... He's amazing.' Demi replies glancing up at Joe as Kevin looks on skeptically.
