'Do you love my sister?' Madison asks as she watches Joe flip a pancake.

'Of course I do.' He replies smiling.

'Have you told her that?' She asks and he shrugs his shoulders.

'I'm not sure... I don't want to scare her off, Mads. I know that giving me another chance was a really big risk for her so I don't want her to feel like I'm rushing her.' He replies.

'You won't hurt her again, right?' She asks and he shakes his head.

'No. I have no intentions of hurting Demi. Without sounding really cheesy, your sister is the person I look at and see my entire future with. I see us getting married, I see us travelling the world and I see us growing old together. She's the reason I get up in the morning and the thing that makes me reluctant to go to sleep at night. She makes me happy, Maddie. I just want to make her happy as well.' He replies.

'You do, more than you'll ever know.' A voice says and they both glance up to see Demi standing in the doorway with tears streaming down her cheeks.

'How much did you hear?' He asks as Madison hops off the counter and quietly leaves the room.

'Enough...' She replies smiling as he takes the pancake off the stove and makes his way over to her. Smiling he lifts his hand and uses his thumb to wipe the tears off her cheeks.

'I meant every word of it. Marriage, travelling the world; I want it all with you.' He says and she bites her bottom lip.

'You forgot something...' She says glancing up at him.

'What?' He asks.

'Babies...' She replies and he nods his head.

'Well I thought that was a given since we discussed it the other day.' He says and she smiles.

'J-Joe...' She whispers, his hands resting on her hips as she drapes hers over his shoulders.

'What?' He asks.

'I love you.' She says.

'I love you too.' He replies.

'Look at those two...' Madison says smiling as she makes her way into the living room followed by Dallas.

'I wonder how long it'll last.' Dallas mumbles making her way through to the kitchen.

'What do you mean?' Madison asks.

'You were too young to understand half of what went on last time, Mads. They'll never work out.' Dallas replies.

'You don't know that! Even dad's beginning to try and accept their relationship.' Madison says and Dallas shakes her head.

'No he's not. He knows that if he doesn't say he'll try and accept them then Demi will pull away from the family and when it all goes wrong she'll have no one to turn to.' Dallas explains.

'That's not fair. Demi really likes him, Dal. We should be supportive of them.' Madison says and Dallas sighs.

'When you're older you'll understand.' Dallas replies before leaving the room. Sighing Madison glances back out at her big sister; she knows her parents shielded her from a lot of what went on when Joe and Demi split but anyone can see how happy she is now, how happy he makes her.

______

'Fuck...' Demi groans as she sits up and runs her hand across her back.

'What's wrong?' Joe asks sleepily keeping his hand on her thigh as she sighs.

'I've got this pain.' She mumbles and instantly his eyes open.

'You're in pain?' He asks and she nods her head.

'I was probably just lying funny; I'll be fine.' She replies leaning back against him as he sits up.

'You sure? We can go get you checked out if you want?' He says and she shakes her head.

'I'll be fine.' She replies grabbing his arms and wrapping them around her waist.

'You'll tell me if it gets worse.' He says and she nods her head.

'Of course.' She replies.

'Are you hungry?' He asks and she shrugs her shoulders.

'I could eat.' She replies causing him to smile.

'What do you want?' He asks.

'Omelette if we've got the stuff for it.' She replies and he nods his head. Madison and Dallas left to go visit Eddie just over an hour ago leaving Demi and Joe to go visit later that night.

'One omelette coming up.' He says kissing the top of her head. Lying back down on the sofa she smiles as he drapes the blanket over her before making his way to the kitchen.

'Have I ever told you how nice your ass is?' She shouts causing him to laugh.

'You have now, Dems.' He replies. Her hand brushes across her stomach as a sharp pain makes itself known in her side causing her to quietly groan.

'You alright?' Joe asks from the kitchen.

'Absolutely fine.' She lies.
