*three weeks later*

It's been three weeks since Jenni and I have went to warped tour,

Three weeks since Ashley and I actually sat down and talked.

He invited me to dinner a couple times and we have been doing really good just being friends.

Speaking of we were actually going out to dinner tonight.

As I was finishing putting my makeup on I heard my door bell ring.

"Hey beautiful" ashley smirked once I opened my front door.

"Hey ash. You ready?"

"Aren't I suppose to ask you that ??" Ashley giggled.

"Well yeah but I take less time then you" I stated while poking him in the side.

We made our way to his black escalade, he opened the passenger door for me just before getting into the drivers side.

The ride was filled with very little awkwardness since this is the fifth dinner date we have went on.

"Soooo Amber.."

"Yea ash?"

"Well we have been getting along pretty good these last couple weeks..."

"Yeah we have. It's been nice"

"Well I wanted to ask..."
And before ashley could continue what he was saying my phone rang.

"Sorry I'll ignore it. It's just my mom"

I lied looking at the caller Id, it was andy.

I knew exactly what he wanted.

To ask me how the date was going and giving me a way out in case I needed it.

I felt my phone vibrate notifying me I had a text.

Batman: hey you okay? How's the date going

Amber: I'm fine we just got to the restaurant. I'll call you when I get home and tell you what happened

After I sent that I noticed ashley was walking to the passenger door.

Ten minutes later.

Ashley and I were seated by the waiter and quickly ordered our drinks while looking at the menu.

I decided to get a medium rare steak, with mash potatoes as the side, ashley got some weird fish thing.

We ate our food in silence just starring at each other once in a while.

An hour later

We were waiting for the check when ashley finally spoke.

"I'm sorry I wasn't talkative at dinner..."

"It's okay. Are you okay tho?"

"Yeah.. just nervous"

"Awe that's cute" I stated sarcastically

"Thanks" ashley laughed

"But seriously why you nervous?"

"Well we have been doing so good lately just being friends... but I want to be more then friends now that your not married"

"Ashley.... I uh..."

"I know it's going to be a no ain't it..."

"No I didn't say that... I just don't know what to say"

"Well what does your heart say?"

"Well I want to give you a chance but what if we get in a fight like we did before.. we went so long without talking and I could have went longer if I didn't go to warped"

"Wait so your saying you were okay with out me?"

"No I'm not saying that, I'm just saying I'm stubborn and it takes me a while to open back up"

"So then you won't be my girl friend??"

"Ugh you are so complicated ash"

"But you love me" he winked and I couldn't help but smile at him.

Ashley was right I was head over heels in love with him.

"Yes"

"Yes what?"

"Yes I will be your girl friend"

And just like that ashley was dancing in his seat like the big goof ball he was.
