Chapter 31

Alex's pov

I wish Rose had talked to me about how she felt. I knew about her selfharming but she had stopped.

I didn't know what to do. She wouldn't talk to me. She won't even look at me. I can feel her pain and it is tearing me apart.

I've failed her as a mate. When I have finished my alpha duties I will go and find her. Get her to speak to me.

Xavier perked up, Sky is in pain, she won't talk to me. She's blocked me out. I can't reach her.

Before I could respond, Maisey came in.

"Have you seen Rose?" She asked me.

"No, I haven't seen her all day, she's been ignoring me and has pushed me away. Why?" I asked.

"I need to talk her, that's all." She said.

"Well when I'm finished here I'm going to find her, you're welcome to join me." I told her.

"Thank you Alex, but it can wait. You two need to work this out. She needs you, especially now..." She trailed off.

"What do you mean especially now? Is she okay?" I asked panicked.

"I will not tell you, what she has told me, that is something you must find out on your own. I am bound by my bond to her not to tell." She told me.

She left my office. I sat there wondering what it could be.

4 hours later

Finally everything is done, I can finally go and find my mate. I walked back to the house and walked through the back and straight up the stairs and into our room.

She wasn't here and most of her stuff was gone. I followed her scent to the spare room where I found her stuff.

I could hear the tv on down stairs so I followed it and walked into the living room.

What I saw almost broke my heart, her arms were torn up, and red. She wore a short sleeve shirt one of her old ones. Nowadays she wears my shirts to bed.

Mikey layed against her protecting her and she protecting him, I couldn't wait for the day I came home and saw her lead like this with our pup. If we ever have pups...

I tried to pick Mikey up but he growled and held on tighter to Rose. I knew if I touched her she'd wake up. So I left them both, I wasn't leasing so I made myself comfy on the opposite sofa and watched them sleep.

The next morning

I woke up to find them both asleep still. I got up and headed for the kitchen and made some breakfast. Both of them love breakfast, or at least she used to.

I grilled the bacon and cooked everything else and plated it all up. By the time I was done, Mikey was at the table waiting for his food but Rose hadn't moved.

He grabbed his plate and went and sat next to Rose. He ate his food quietly and waited for Rose to wake up.

He whimpered when after an hour she didn't wake. She woke immediately hearing him whimper, and scanned the room for threats.

When she found none she gave Mikey a hug and got up and came and ate.

"Mickey, why don't you go and have a bath. I'm staying in the spare room, your spare clothes are where they usually would be in my room. I'll be up shortly to help." Rose told him.

He looked at her making sure she was okay then turned and left.

"Rose, I..." I said.

"I don't want to hear it Alex. Not right now. I know you hate me and that you wish you had never been mated to me. Don't worry I don't care if you go find someone else. After all I deserve it." I told him.

"You really think I'd leave you? No baby, I'm not going anywhere. I don't hate you and I could never find someone else because there is no one else I want. You are all I want. I wish you had talked to me but what's done is done. Please let me hold you. I've felt your pain." I told her.

I stopped closer, hoping she wouldn't bolt, she didn't move and moved and wrapped her up in my arms. And held her.

"I'm sorry Alex. I have ruined everything." She told me.

"No you haven't my love, we will get through this." I tell her

After a while once she has calmed down. I let her go.

"Go and help Mikey I'll be here when you come down." I told her.
