Chapter 36

Alex's pov

I don't know why she has stiffened in my arms but before I could process it fully she removed my arms from around her waist and moved out of my reach.

Why does she not want me to touch her? She won't look at me.

''Mikey, is mum and dad around?'' she asked.

''They're in th study.'' He told her.

She tured to head to the study but I grabbed her arm befor she got too far but she yaked her arm away and snarled

Maisey and Beth blocked my path.

''Get out of my way, NOW!'' I growled at them.

''She doesn't want you near her. You made it very clear to her, now she is making it clear to you. You will have to kill both of us to get to her.'' Maisey growled back.

They knew why she was acting like this. Of course they do she tells them everything. I need to calm down or they won't tell me a thing. I watched her walk away my heart sinking with every step she took away from me.

My shoulders slumped as she disappeared into her father's office.

"What's wrong with her Beth?" I asked.

"Oh so now you want to act like you care!?" She yelled.

"What is that upposed to mean?" I asked.

"Don't act dumb Alex we know everything." Maisey told me.

"I don't have a clue what either of you are on about." I told them calmly.

"You wouldn't comfort her when she told you what she had done, instead you growled and had a go at her; not only that you didn't stop her when she walked away." Maisey told me.

She thought I was rejecting her because she rellapsed? I thought to myself.

"I wasn't mad at her, I was mad at myself for not seeing the signs. I didn't go after her because I didn't want to scare her, I was fuious with myself and couldn't chance her seeing it." I told them.

They looked at each other then back at me trying to figure out if I was lying or not.

"She thinks you no longer want her and that you have found another to be your mate." Beth told me.

"I never would. She is all I have ever and will ever want." I told them.

They stood down from being on guard and stepped away. I heard the office door open then close. CJ please have everyone leave I wish to speak with Rose alone. And there is something I must do. He didn't respond but everyone started to leave, when Rose began to walk away Maisey shook her head then nodded towards me then left with everyone else closing the door behind her.

I did't approach her at first because I knew she would run if I did, instead I walked round the room while keeping my eyes locked on hers.

"I love you. Always have and always will. There is nor will there ever be anyone else for me." I told her.

She didn't answer instead she just stared at the floor. I slowly moved closer to her and the closer I got the harder it was for not to reach out and grab her. When I got within touching distance of her I stopped and waited for her to look at me.

It felt like forever before she looked at me, when she did I saw the tears in her eyes. I tried to reach out through our bond to comfort her but her walls were still up.

"I'm sorry for what I did. I should have comforted you but I was so mad at myself for not seeing the signs, you shouldn't of had to go through it alone. Please forgive... Please baby, I cannot live without you." I begged her.

"You will. You'll forget all about me, you'll see. She said and left the room closing the door behind her.

What did she mean you'll see?
