Chapter 14

~Milla~

I was running...really really damn fast.I was running but I don't know what I'm running from.

But something is telling me to run for my life.I just gotta follow my instincts.

The leaves and twigs brushed past me.The cold wind is slapping my face,not in a painful way.

*BANG!*

Mas binilisan ko pa ang pagtakbo ko,bakit ba hindi nila ako hayaan? Hindi pa ba sapat ang pagpatay nila sa mga magulang ko?

I guess it's not really my lucky day today,nakita kong wala na akong matatakbuhan dahil bangin na ang sumalubong sa akin.

Napagpasyahan kong magtago nalang sa likod ng isa sa mga puno,I tried calming my breathe.Hinihingal akong umupo sa likod nito.

Narinig ko ang mga yapak nila na papalapit sa direksyon ko,I closed my eyes tightly,silently praying for my life.

I silently thanked that they're just normal beings,kaya hindi nila ako maaamoy.

"Little wolf,lumabas ka na dyan,hindi safe para sa mga maliliit na tuta ang magpagala-gala sa malaki at masukal na kagubatan." Kahit hindi ko sya nakikita I know he was smirking while he was saying that.And I also know pretty damn well that he's not concerned for my safety at all.

I did not budge,hindi ako magpapauto sa mga mapanlinlang nyang salita.Kung alam ko lang ay balak nya rin akong patayin katulad ng ginawa nya sa pamilya ko.

"Nasaan kaya sya?" Another voice playfully asked.

"Makikita at makikita ka rin namin,alam mo naman iyon, diba?" Another unfamiliar voice asked.I did not make any noise,I need to come up with a plan.Hindi ako pwedeng mamatay malang ng ganito dito,sa kamay ng mga walang kwentang hunters na ito.

Kulang pa ang insultong yan.

Pumikit ako,silently saying to myself that I'll soon get through this...malalapagsan ko rin ito.

"Boo." Someome said from behind me,hindi ko napansin iyon dahil nawala ako sa konsentrasyon.

I flinched,I slowly looked back,at nakita ko ang isa sa mga humahabol sa akin na nakatingin sa akin...A creepy smile slowly formed to his face.

"Nandito sya!" Ang sigaw nya sa mga kasama nya dahilan upang maibaling ang atensyon ng mga ito sa amin.

They were laughing devilishly,I know that they know I'm afraid of them,masaya silang nakikita akong natatakot.

"Hindi ba sabi namin sa iyo ay makikita ka rin namin?" One of them said.

"Please j-just let me go." I whispered pero alam kong narinig nila iyon,kaya nagtawanan na naman sila.

"Pasensya na tuta,pero ginagawa lang namin ang utos ng mga nasa itaas." Sabi ng isa sa kanila,tinignan ko sa mata ang lalaking iyon at nakita kong mukha namang nagsasabi sya ng totoo.

"B-bakit nyo ba ito ginagawa? A-ano ba ang ginawa naming mali sa inyo?" Mahina kong tanong.

"We're hunters,and we were born to kill werewolves,that's why." One of them said casually,'Hey you did not do anything wrong to me but I'm going to end your life because I just feel like it' kind of way

Unti unti akong umatras..alam kong wala na akong aatrasan pero wala na akong pakialam.Mas gugustuhin ko pang ako ang pumatay sa sarili ko kaysa mamatay sa kamay ng mga hunters na ito.

"So..you'll turn the other cheek? I see." One of them again said while smirking devilishly.

"But If I were to choose,mas gugustuhin ko pang mamatay ka sa mga kamay namin para mas mapahirapan ka pa namin,but we're actually being merciful enough to give you a choice on how you want to die." One of them again spat.

I did not think twice,tumingin ako sa likuran ko.Tatlong hakbang nalang ay mahuhulog na ako sa bangin na ito.

1...

2...

3...

"AAAAAHHH!" I jerked forward.I heard angry screams but I can't make out they said.

Nakita kong tumakbo papalapit sa akin si Apollo,I looked around I saw,Alpha Nicolas,Beta Aiden and Gamma Max.

Then the memories came rushing back to my mind...he bit me.He fvcking bit me.

"You're awake." He gently said.

I looked at his eyes...I saw worry,regret,anger and again love.He tried touching my cheek but I shook his hands away...He had hurt me.

"Don't touch me." I said coldly.He looked hurt...My wolf whimpered,She can't bare to see our mate hurting.

He just looked down and didn't said anything,instead he got up and left the room.

I sighed...I-I don't know how to act around him.I got hurt because of him,everyone left the room.I felt relieved because I needed my very own time to think.

I trusted him and he broke it by deceiving me.

He kidnapped me and kept me here without my permission,MY permission not my wolf's permission.

Then he bit me.

I mean I can forgive him but certainly not now . I'm still hurt and confused.

Napatingin ako sa pintuan noong narinig kong nagbukas iyon,I saw Eunice' head peeked inside.She smiled when she saw me.

"How are you feeling?" Pumasok sya sa kwarto.

"Fine." Tipid kong sagot.

Umupo sya sa dulo ng kama.

"Good to hear." She said and then smiled genuinely.

"Uh...you know...my brother is not that bad." Hindi ako sumagot kaya nagpatuloy sya.

"He was truly hurt...hindi nya gusto ang ginawa nya."

"First time nyang mag-shift...you do know that,right?" Tumango ako

"He was not in control over his wolf...hindi nya rin matanggap na sya mismo ang nanakit sa iyo.He was overwhelmed by the strength of his wolf,hindi pa sya sanay."

"So,what are you trying to say?" I asked.

"Give him a chance...you know hindi nya sinasadya ang ginawa nya,hindi nya rin gusto ang nangyari." I looked away,she has a point.

"He truly loves you Milla,I can see it in his eyes."

I stared at her eyes,and she didn't budge.Tinignan nya rin ako sa mata.

But the question is...do I love him?

I-I don't really know...

Because I don't know what love feels like,magmula noong mamatay ang mga magulang ko...hindi ko na alam kung ano ang pakiramdam ng pagmamahal.

I can't distinguish it.

"But...it's still your life,it's for you to make a choice.But I hope your choice is right,osya mauna na ako, always take care my dear."

Lumabas sya mula sa kwartong ito.I looked out the window.

Is Eunice right? Is he worth it for my forgiveness?
