"That Nathan guy is going to wish he never met you."

Me and Luke were walking down the street, just out and about, window shopping and eating ice cream. I knew he was still not over Nathan and what he saw, but I was trying to get his mind off of him.

"I want to go in this vintage boutique, are you coming inside?" I asked, knowing he didn't always like walking around stores while I debated on what to buy.

"Actually I'm going to go reserve seats for us at a restaurant." He looked down at his phone and then up at me. He pulled me into a hug and kissed my head, then left around the corner.

I walked into the boutique, ready to try and find a pretty piece of jewelry.

I looked down at my phone. I walked into the ally next to the restaurant.
Nathan had agreed to us meeting to talk. I planned on confronting him about why he's so close to Ava.

"Well, Hemmings, we meet again." I turned around in the ally way to see him standing there with a stupid smirk on his face.

"Let's cut to the chase. Why are you so close to Ava. She's my girl, not yours and she never will be."

"You want to know why? I'll tell you. You aren't good enough for her. You can't treat her as good as I can."

"Shut the fück up! You're delusional!" I raised my voice. I clenched my teeth in anger. How dare this dude have the guts to say this shït to me.

"I'm not delusional. I'm going to take your pretty little girlfriend away from you. She'll be mine, and you won't stand a chance. I'll trick her into believing you're a horrible person and she'll never want to talk to you again." Nathan laughed.

"You're not going to touch her. You're going to regret ever meeting me." I clenched my fists in frustration and pure rage.

"Oh am I?", he laughed. "Try me." He smirked.

That was it. I jumped on him and started to punch him. I couldn't breathe. I was taking all my anger out on him. Every punch. Every bit of blood. Every bruise. It was all I could see. I was blinded by a fit of rage. I stopped after five and stepped off of him. He had tried to throw a few punches and he succeeded a few times. At that moment I heard footsteps.

"Luke? Luke! What are you doing here?" She came down the ally and then stopped when she saw Nathan leaning against a wall. "Why did you do this to him?" She asked shocked.

"I told you he'd regret it." I turned around, wiping a bit of blood from the corner of my mouth with my thumb.

I was walking back after finding a gorgeous gold rose necklace.

I walked down the alley and I was shocked

I walked down the alley and I was shocked. Why did Luke meet with Nathan? What happened? I walked over to Nathan and wiped some blood off of his face.

"Thank you, Ava. I'm fine. Really, I am." He waved me off, getting up and beginning to walk the opposite way. I looked around and I didn't know where Luke went. "When you have the time, let's meet to talk." He said, then walked off.

I was concerned about Luke. I walked out of the ally and Luke was leaning on the wall with one foot on the brick, right next to the ally.

" I was waiting for you. You don't know what he's like. He's a liar. A fake. Come on, let's go." He said, holding my hand and pulling me to the restaurant.

"Okay, fine." I walked with him inside. I didn't want to tell him that I was going to talk to Nathan to find out what he wants.

The next day I went over to the same crêpe shop and met with Nathan.

"Hey, I'm glad you could make it." He said, sitting down at the same booth.

"I need to talk to you." I said, semi-serious, still trying to play the clueless role to pretend like I think he's innocent.

"What do you want to talk about?" He asked.
"I want to know what you want." I looked at him.
"I want you, Ava. You're what I want. I can treat you so much better than Luke. I'm a much better boyfriend than him. He's not good for you. I'm good for you. He's not the right person for you." I tried to hold in my disgust as he sat there and told me all these things.

"Oh. I see. Well, I have to go, my friend needs me, she locked herself out of her house. Bye!" I quickly left and started walking back in the direction of my house. Like hell am I going to date him. That's a joke.

I went to the park near it and sat down. I called Luke and asked him to come and hang out with me.

"Hey, babe, where were you this morning?"

"Have I got a story for you."
