TWO WEEKS LATER
It's almost dawn when there's a knock on the door. "Jesse, may I come in?" Jacob asks.
I get up to the door, nodding my head. "Sure,I haven't been able to sleep, so." I answer.
Suddenly I become embarrassed for standing in front of him with only a long shirt that Nudge had stitched from an old pair of tees of Iggy and Fang's, and socks that surprisingly reach up to my knees for my height.
I'm so glad it's dark so that he can't see me blushing.
He seems to notice, but ignores it anyways.
"I was thinking," I start, but never finish, instead resting my head on his back. "Thank you for being so kind to me. You were the first person ever to be kind to me and never ask for anything in return. I'm still trying out the being humble thing, so sorry if I sound cheesy."
He kisses my forehead. "There's nothing to apologize for." Then he kisses me full on the lips. I kiss him back, but then I am reminded of my longing for Fang.
