My eyes roll back and my vision fades dark as I let my shadows carry me where my enemies lay. Sudden shrieks and screams fill the air in the dark. The honks of horns blare. Just as long, my vision comes back as I find myself right in front of my older sister.

"Jesse, stop this right now!" Max manages to breathe out though a pair of my dark shadows tighten their grip around her little skinny neck.

I throw my fist along her cheek, hitting her so hard that her head turns all the way. "Never." I say.

Behind me, warm hands wrap around my waist, pulling me to closer to him. "Don't do this, Jesse. Please." Fang warns.

Wrinkling my lips in disgust, I pull out of his embrace as I swear my eyes turn red from anger.

"Don't you dare come near me!" I grow, slapping him to the ground with just a quick flick of my wrist.

In unbearable pleasure, I watch him fall to the ground with a loud think onto the cement, knowing that I didn't even come close to killing him still.

Out of nowhere, blond hair flies in my face and I am suddenly plummeting towards the ground at lightning speed just like Fang had done just a second ago.

Don't do this, Jesse. I know you're angry, and maybe you have very right to, but Fang didn't kill Jacob. I did. Jesse, I was always been suspicious of him , and after listening into his thoughts when I he was noticing, I discovered that his thoughts were just code after code after code. He was not a human like you thought he was. In fact, he was a robot sent from the School to monitor you and to hopefully find the way to capture me and the rest of the Flock. I am sorry I didn't tell you this until now, but you must remember that we are not the enemy. We're your family. Me, Nudge, Total, Gazzy, Iggy, Max, and Fang. "Birds of a feather flock together." as Max always says... So, calm down and let's get out of here before the School catches on.

Angel just stares up at me expressionless up in the air, flapping her wings just a little to stay in place. Deep inside, I knew she has the power to manipulate me into doing whatever she wants, but she has decided not to. As if doing this would prove her point.

I don't know how in the hell do I trust her, but I do. Slowly, my shadows recede in a quiet whisper as they seep back into my body. "Fine, Angel. You got your wish, but if I found out you're lying, you know what happens right?" I ask.

She nods just as a loud explosion sends debris exploding into the air, making everything go dark.
