    In the End-Linkin Park
Sixteen years of my life and I've always questioned what the end of the world would be like.  Maybe with everyone being made into mutants or a giant comet crash like how the Bing Bang knocked out the dinosaurs. I never expected it to come so.... so out of the blue...so right now. Lieterally I expected to come out of nowhere and not by someone I know let alone whether that person be an actual being and not a inanimate force of nature... if you know what I mean.

"Max! Move!" I hear Nudge's high-pitched scream as she flashes in front of me, stray feathers of her eagle white wings flying up in the air. Blood. More blood spurts in front of me as Jesse comes sweeping by, her shadows literally shearing thrir way through her as if they are scissors to paper. "Max!" she creams once again, and that is finally when I am knocked out of my dismay.

My body moves before my mind as I find my self pulling her towards my chest before the shadows get close to the viral parts of her organs, located near the stomach.
Gritting my teeth, I fly higher up in the air as Jesse's shadows plummet to where bit Nudge a d I once were.

Searching around for the others, I see nothing but whiffa if smoke and fire and it's all I can do to not panic. It try and listen to the voice or even Angel, but all I hear are my own thought, scrambling on instinct to communicate to me that an incredible danger is near. But of course it is obvious.

Nudge whimpers and writhes in pain, and I look down to find the tip of my tanned fingernails stuck in her side.

"Oh my god, Nudge! I'm so sorry!" I shout flipping her up bridal style so that she will not be in so much pain anymore.

"Max," she breathes, her brown eyes glossy, "Please, I think you have to put me out of my misery."

Gulping I shake my head. "No, Nudge. Don't you dare say stuff like that!" I cry, as I still fly us both up to the glass ceiling of the School.

Outside it looks so beautiful. A bright sky filles with shifts of white clouds. As if they are marhmellows amongst a fancy chefs blue chocolate masterpiece, and the leaves on the trees amongst blow slightly in an ironically calming manner. But of course I don't let it cool me.

"Don't worry, Nudge. The only  one who is dying today is her." I growl, eyeing the winged figure I once knew as my sister who brings her shadows amongst a white lab coat who screams in agony as well... yeah, well it's a little too graphic to say. Let's cut it down to: it is not a pretty sight, even from one hundred feet up in the air, watching as the doctor's bare legs are torn from their sockets before she plummets to the floor, the sickening sound of a broken neck echoing to all the way up here.

Nudge is smart enough to look away before I do, and I am kept to the detail of seeing the woman's head bounce in the air like a bAsketball towards the body of who... Is...is that Fang?

"Look away, Max." Nudge whispers, realizing who I have seen.

Just as I do, a dead silence fills the room, and it is so dead that I can even hear my own heart beat.

That familiar sound sends a rushing through my veins. Something like hope. Something like a rebirth; a feeling of revitalized hope.

"Nudge, hold on tight." I shout without warning, swooping at what must be 250 mph towards the way we once came through. Nudge buries her head in my shoulder, gripping into my neck with her brown bony arms.

All around me is a blur as I got my teeth, my blonde hair coming out of it's loose braid from the speed of my flying.

Bomb. I think as I catch sight of Jesse's shadows flying close behind. There must be a bomb. It is way too quiet.

That must mean that Iggy or Gassy- no, I hope both- are close by and still alive.

I am just about to fly closer to the floor where the both of our noses barely skid across the white tiled floor, when a sharp pain shoots through my left wing.

The pain is so strong that I almost drop Nudge, but I hold her tighter like the way I used to hold onto her when we had to escape from Erasers.

I know Jesse's shadows have pierced me, but I still carry on. My own blood sprays across my face and my back, and it all I can do is fight away the memories of the countless experiments performed on me as a young child, watching my blood spurt across me when ai was only four years old.

Suddenly, my breathing necomes much heavier than before, and I can't seem to aim my focus, my vision suddenly becoming darker.

"Max, no! You can't give up. No!" Nudge screams as I skid to the ground, dropping her to the floor while still holding her in my arms, my legs going weak and my brown wings growing limp.

"Move, Nudge..." I breathe, my vision faltering. "M-move, before...s-she gets you too."

"Max, no! Not without you! We've already lost Fang- no I won't believe that! Come one, Max!"  she then desperately wraps her arms around ma's lifting me up on her back although she is way too injured to be safely carrying me. "Come one, Max! You've got to live for Fang." she says, spreading her wings and continuing the flight.
