We watch as the school bursts in flames, the sound of the explosion ringing in our ears. It's as if it is a true sign of freedom. The feeling you get when you realize that the School can't hurt you anymore. Nevermore. But I know it just isn't over yet.
"What do we do now, Max?" Nudge asks, still in my arms.
I watch as Iggy, Total, and Angel both look up at me in question, they clothing tattered and stainex with blood and soot from all the wreckage.
"We wait. We leave. And we never come back." I say, trying to keep from crying as I realize that Gazzy nor Fang is there. "We never come back." I repeat, spreading my wings once again as the last explosion happens.
