Karma's POV

"Say (y/n)-chan, how about this one?" I suggested, pulling out her favorite (f/c) shirt and (another f/c) skirt from the cabinet. Her pout faded and turned into a smile.

"Yay!" By this simple thing, it makes me smile. (Y/n)-chan is my childhood friend that studies in Seika High. (Got the reference?) Now I'm helping her to dress up on her date with Maehara. Being their friend, I was the one who pulled them together, even if its against my own will. Yes, against my will since I'm in love with my childhood friend. But if it makes her happy with the man she loves, I'll accept the fact and let go.

"Alright then! I'm gonna go get changed!" I chuckled at her childish personality and pat her head.

"I'll be at the living room, then." I said and left. As I close the door, I bit my lip, trying to hold back tears, forced a smile and walked to the couch.

"I'll be off now! Bye Karma-kun!" Said (y/n), I waved her goodbye and locked the door, running to my house which is beside hers. Ran to my room and there I shed tears.

"W-Why of all people?" Yeah, why? Of people across the world, why her? Why not Okuda-san, Nakamura-san? Why (y/n)?

Time passed when they started dating... A month? Well, that's the longest Maehara ever had. Make sure (y/n) is not crying when she comes home or else death will—

A loud crash was heard on (y/n)'s room. Knowing she is tearing her room up, I went on my balcony to jumped at her balcony. Thanks to my parkour skills. There, I saw (y/n) crying, her working table is messy, books are scattered on the floor.

"(Y/n), what happened?!" I asked, breaking in her house. Kneeling over her, I felt a tear slipped out of my eyes.

"I-I was Hiroto-kun kissing another girl!" She said between cries and sniffles. I comforted her with a hug and tried to calm her down. Once she is only hiccuping now, I told her to stay in her place and I will get a glass of water for her.

"T-Thank you, Karma-kun for always been there for me." I blushed. "At first, I thought no one loves me, even my parents." And that's when I panicked. Sighing, I sat down beside her.

"I love you." I suddenly blurted out. After seconds, realization hit me like a truck. I confessed to her!

"J-J-J-Just a friend!" I stammered out as an excuse. "Just a friend, huh?" She whispered, looking down on the ground.

"Y-Yeah... I love you as a friend, a best friend." I said, almost like answering her question.

"What if I say I love you more than just my best friend?" She asked looking directly to my eye, as if digging it to find answers. "And I mean it." She averted her eyes. She is more that just a friend to me. She is the girl that I am looking for in my whole life.

"Well. . . " I looked at the ceiling, "I would say I love you too." I looked at her eyes. "Let's just say I'm afraid to tell you that I love you because I have that thought that it will destroy our friendship that we cared for 12 years, that's why I made a lame excuse."

She blushed. "S-So..."

"So what?" I pulled her chin up to my level and kissed her lips.

"I love you, (n/n)."

"I-I love you too."
