I took a step back as my eyes widened. Why was Sam's eyes black..?
"Sam...?" I said, reaching for him but keeping the rest of my body back.
"Yes?" He asked with a smile but not his normal smile, this one was just creepy.
"You didn't answer me. What's wrong with your eyes?" I asked, once again.
"Don't worry, babe, I'm fine." Sam said before making his way out of his house. I picked up my phone and tried Cas again. It went right to voicemail again.
"Cas, I'm really worried about Sam.. Something's wrong with his eyes.. Just please call me when you can, like I said, I'm really worried!" I hung up my phone and put it in my back pocket. I didn't want to be here anymore, Sam was scaring me and John had been very avoidant to everyone since my dad... I dismissed the thought and walked to the front door and pulled my shoes on.
"Where are you going?" Sam asked. I turned around and his eyes were black once again.
"I- I um.. I wanted to see Cas.. We need each other right now.." I said, technically not lying, just twisting the truth.
"Well, I'm going with you." He said, darkly and put his shoes on as well, eye going back to their normal hazel color.
"N-no, you don't have to." I tried not to plead.
"No, I want to. Maybe I want to pay my brother a visit as well." He snapped. I jumped a little but tried not to make it obvious as I opened the door quickly. I didn't bother waiting for Sam, I just walked swiftly down the sidewalk. "Hey, wait up." His voice sounded demanding but I didn't let up my quick walking. I didn't want to be near him, I just wanted to see Cas. I felt a hand grab my wrist and pull me to them. "I said wait."
"S-sorry.." I stuttered. I'd never really been scared of Sam, he never gave me a reason. Until now. I was mentally thankful for the fact that Dean and Cas didn't live that far away. We reached their street after about fifteen minutes of nervous, slow walking. I walked up the path to the front door with Sam right by my side and knocked nervously. There was a few shuffles and swears mumbled but Dean opened the door.
"Oh, hey.." He said awkwardly, still pulling his shirt on.
"H-hi, um, where's Cas?" I asked quietly. As if coming on mention of his name, he appeared.
"Hey, Madi. Why are you here?" He asked.
"Just wanted to see you. Um, can I talk to you in private please?" He nodded and Dean moved from the doorway. Cas lead me to the other room.
"What is it?" He sounded concerned.
"Something's wrong with Sam.. He's not acting right.."
"Madi, I-"
"No, listen. His eyes keep going black on occasions and he's been really dark and demanding.. I don't know what's going on with him." I said quietly, not wanted anyone to hear. Cas opened his mouth to say something but we heard a crash come from the living room so we ran towards it.
----------
I pushed the thing inside Sam onto the rug.
"Get out of my brother." I demanded. I didn't want to believe that demons were real but there's one possessing Sam. I mentally thanked my dad for having this rug custom-made with a devils trap on it. The demon smirked.
"Nah, I actually like it in here." He sassed back. Cas and Madi ran into the living room.
"What happened?" He asked, looking worried. He stepped towards me but almost got the rug.
"Don't step on the rug!" I snapped. They both jumped. "Just get behind me, Madi. Cas, go grab the book that's next to our bed." He nodded, clearly confused and ran to grab it. He came back and tossed the book to me, careful not to step on the rug. I quickly opened it and leafed through the pages. "Please be here, please be here." I whispered to myself. "Aha!" I yelled as I found what I was looking for.
"Dean.." Cas said, sounding incredibly worried.
"Exorcizamus te omnis immundis spiritus. Omnis satanica potestas. Omnis incursio infernaus adversarii. Omnis legio . Omnis congregatio et secta diabolica." I started but was interrupted by the demon in Sam groaning.
"Stop. Now." He barked, eyes going black.
"Like that! That's how his eyes have been!" Madi yelled.
"Ergo, draco maiedicte. Ecciesiam tuam securi tibi facias libertate servire te rogamus. Audi nos!" I yelled as a thick, black smoke came out of Sam's mouth with a yell. His head hung and I ran over to him. "Sam?!" I asked, impatiently.
"Y-yeah..?" He asked, picking his head up. "What's going on?" He looked around.
----------
I looked at Madi and she backed up into Cas slightly. I felt guilt wash over me. Did I hurt her?
"You were possessed by a demon.." Dean's voice was hard. I looked back over at him and he looked upset.
"But there's no such thing.." I had a million questions in my head.
"Yeah there is and there was one in you. I got it out though, you're back to normal but you're going to need one of these." He said pulling down his shirt, exposing his tattoo. "Dad made me get it when I was sixteen. Keeps the demons out." He looked back at Cas and Madi the same time I did. "You'll all need one, I know a guy who'll do it for free, good friend of our dad's."
"Madi's only fourteen, she can't get a tattoo." Cas said, concerned.
"Do you want a demon inside her?!" Dean yelled impatiently. Cas hung his head and sulked out of the room. You could cut the tension in the room with a butter knife. Dean followed him shortly after with a look of regret on his face.
----------
I hung my head in my hands for a minute before I heard footsteps. I turned around and saw Dean. He had a look of hardness and regret on his face.
"Sorry for yelling.." He mumbled. I nodded, tears threatening to fall. "Woah, woah, what's wrong?" Dean walked over to me and took my hands in his.
"I'm just scared.."
