School was finished, and the gang was walking together. They all stopped at each house until Mike and Eleven were the only ones.
Troy: Hey, Frog face!
Troy laughed, then pushed Mike to the ground.
Eleven, filled with Anger: Stop.
Troy was lifted, and thrown away in the air.
Mike: Ow..
Mike got up slowly.
Mike: Thanks El..
Eleven: It's nothing, Mike.
Eleven smiled, and Mike smiled back.
Mike: The Snowball is next week! Are you ready?
Eleven: Of course.
Eleven was a bit nervous, and Mike could read it from her face.
Mike: Are you worried?
Eleven: — Yes..
Mike: About what?
Eleven paused.
Eleven: Demogorgon... Bad men..
Mike sighed, hoping this madness would end.
Mike: If they come, I won't let them take you. Not again..
Eleven: You won't let them?
Mike: Yeah.
Mike leaned in for a kiss, but Nancy was behind them.
Nancy: ... Ahem.
Mike broke away quickly. He turned, then was more red than any time before.
Mike: — Hey Nance..
Nancy: Hey, Mike.. Also, I'll be taking you two to the mall tomorrow. It'll be great for both of you.
Eleven zoned out for a moment.
Eleven: What is 'mall'?
Mike laughed. He thought it was cute.
Mike: A mall is where you buy clothes, and different things. And we would have to get you more clothes anyway, since you only have that outfit. And it is the Snowball!
Eleven chuckled softly.
Eleven: I'm excited.
Nancy chuckled.
Nancy: Me too.
Mike turned as fast as the speed of light.
Mike: — Wait what?
Nancy realized she didn't tell them.
Nancy: I forgot to tell you. Me and Jonathan will be chaperoning together.
Mike wiggled his eyebrows. This made Nancy blush, only slightly.
Nancy: Shut up. It's not like that.. I'm with Steve anyway!
She actually had feelings for Jonathan..
