Eleven: How much more far?
Mike: Just a block away.
They peddled, and they finally made it. The sign stated the words, 'Waffle House'
Eleven: Wow..
Lucas: Alright. Let's shake a leg.
They walked in, and sat at a table. Mike and Eleven on one side, and Lucas, Dustin, and Will on the other.
Waitress: Welcome to the Waffle House. How may I help you?
Lucas: We'd all like water.
Dustin: No! I want Coca-Cola.
Waitress: Alright. So it's 4 waters and 1 soda?
Lucas nodded. Mike tapped the table.
Mike: You'll like it here.
Eleven: Do they have eggos?
Mike: No. But the waffles here taste the same.
The waitress traveled back with 4 waters and a soda on a tray. She handed each their beverage.
Mike: Thanks.
Eleven sipped her water.
Lucas: So, you two are..
Mike knew what was coming.
Lucas: Dating?
Dustin: They probably are. And at night they —
Dustin made kissing noises. Lucas and Will chuckled. Mike was blushing, like always when the boys teased him about Eleven.
Mike: No we aren't.
Dustin: — Yet.
Eleven: Yet?
Mike: Uhm.
Mike turned even redder.
Eleven: What is 'dating'?
Mike: Well..—
Lucas: It's when two people love each other a lot and start a relationship! Then after that they get married and have —
Mike cut him off. That was a bit too far.
Mike: Okay. Enough. Me and El aren't dating!
Eleven: We're not?
Eleven was confused. The waitress came back to a blushing Mike and a confused Eleven.
Waitress: Now, are you ready to order?
Mike: —Yep.
They all ordered 5 waffles.
Waitress: Alright! I'll be right back.
The waitress dashed into the kitchen.
Mike: Well, we aren't..
Eleven: Oh.
Lucas: But you will soon.
Dustin burst into childish laughter. They all were so immature. But not in a bad way, of course.
Mike: Guys!
She came back with waffles, and were silently eating. Every time Mike caught Eleven's eyes, he felt heat travel up towards his cheeks.
