Movie Night

Mike and Eleven burst through the door, as Lucas and Dustin were awaiting for the two. Lucas unsure, and Dustin glancing at them.
"You guys are back pretty fast.." Dustin commented. Lucas tapped his fingers together. Eleven was giving a plain face, no expression could be read. She still felt guilty. Mike recognized her face, and gave a soft smile, his attempt to cheer her up. The two sat on the couch.
  "Will is recovering, so he'll be back by tomorrow." Dustin stated. Eleven nodded. Mike sighed.
  "So, now what?" Mike questioned.
  "How about we —" Lucas pondered for a moment, "We go to the movies or something down town." Lucas suggested.
  "El would probably like it." Dustin added. Mike nodded.
  "What is a Movie?" Eleven raised a brow.
  "It's a video that is like a story, and they have different genres. Some are Sci-fi, Action, Comedy.. that kind of stuff." Mike explained. Eleven nodded, and they all stepped outside to feel the fresh air of November. Thanksgiving just around the corner. Eleven's to-be first Thanksgiving. Mike grabbed her hand and jumped on the seat. Eleven following, and Dustin and Lucas boarding their bikes too. They started to peddle, and swerving on the street.
  "What movie is it?" Mike asked.
  "I think it's — The Goonies?" Lucas stated. They braked their bikes, and placed them onto the rack outside. It was a large area, and the concession stand was selling their mouth-watering popcorn. Mike stepped up to the line, and saw a pony tail brunette and a wavy dirty blonde. Wait..
  "Nancy?" Mike and Eleven asked.
  "Jonathan?.." Lucas and Dustin asked in unison. The two turned, and their guess was correct. Nancy and Jonathan.
  "Oh.. hey." Nancy said. She seemed anxious.
  "So this is what you meant by studying?" Mike raised a brow, "And no Barb?" Mike added. Barb turned.
  "There is Barb." Nancy stated the obvious.
  "Still, you lied. I wonder what is next after the theater. More 'studying'? Like you did with Steve?" Mike raised a brow. This triggered Jonathan and Nancy's faces to turn bright red. Lucas and Dustin held back laughter.
  "No, no. Not that!" Nancy corrected. Nancy and Jonathan turned, following Barb up the line. The group accompanied them. Nancy ordered two bags of popcorn, an extra large for her and Jonathan, and a medium for Barb. As they waited, Nancy slipped Mike a twenty dollar bill.
"Thanks, Nancy." Mike's eyes were filled with sympathy.
"No problem." She replied, and a staff member handed Nancy change and their order. Nancy carried the large, and Barb carried the medium. Mike ordered a large for him and the crew. In a few minutes, the staff gifted his change, and his popcorn. Eleven walked aside Mike, while Dustin and Lucas trailed behind. Mike had received four tickets with his popcorn. Once they arrived in the right section, Mike handed four tickets, then tramped with the rest into the theater. Nancy, Barb, and Jonathan already arranged and set. The quad sat next to them. Mike in the middle, Eleven to his right, and Dustin and Lucas next to him. There were several short commercials, then the lights dimmed and the movie began. Sometimes Mike had to hold Eleven's hand, since it was a bit too traumatizing for her. But all in all, it was enjoyable for them all.
