Nancy woke in a hospital bed, Jonathan beside her.
"Hey." He gave a soft smile. Nancy couldn't help but smile back. Mike was across the room, with the gang. Mike waved, and Nancy waved weakly back. She stared at her arm, which was wrapped carefully with bandages.
"What happened?.." Nancy turned back to Jonathan.
"You got shot by the guy in the suit." Jonathan replied, and glanced at Will.
"Are you okay?" said Nancy. Jonathan laughed.
"You're asking me? Hey, I'm not the one who got shot. But the doctors said you'll be fine." Jonathan grasped her hand gently. Nancy gave a soft smile.
"I love you, Jonathan." Nancy whispered.
"I love you too, Nancy." He gave her a quick kiss, and Joyce bursted in. She looked like a hot mess, like before.
"Jonathan, what are you doing?" said Joyce.
"Well uh." Jonathan's voice trailed off. Joyce sighed. She turned to Will.
"Will, baby, are you okay?" Joyce examined him.
"I'm fine, Mom." Joyce sighed in relief. Jonathan nodded.
"And what happened to Nancy? Are you okay?" Joyce ran frantically to her bed.
"Yes. I'm fine Mrs. Byers. Thanks for asking." Nancy replied. Jonathan stared at his mother for a second, then looked away.
"You two are dating, aren't you?"
"Well.. yes?" Jonathan sighed. Nancy glanced at him, and at Joyce.
"Oh.. well. For how long?" Jonathan looked at Nancy.
"Like — 3 weeks?" Nancy shrugged.
"Oh," Joyce looked at the door, "Your mother should be here soon."
A car pulled up from across the street. It was Ted and Karen. Nancy sighed. Ted and Karen opened the door. First came Karen, then Ted.
"Nancy, what happened?" Karen ran over to her side.
"I got shot." Nancy stared away from her.
"How?" Karen wasn't believing this.
"Some guy. But all we know is they kidnap children and experiment them." said Nancy. Eleven felt a shiver crawl up her spine.
"Don't do that ever again, Nancy," Karen sighed, "That means you all too." The gang sighed. Jonathan just watched Nancy.
"Welp. We should all let Nancy rest." Ted declared. Eleven and Mike got up, and walked out. Followed by everyone else except Jonathan. Joyce turned.
"Jonathan, are you coming?"
"I'm going to keep her company here. You take Will home, alright?" said Jonathan. Joyce nodded and followed Will.
