Nancy drove the duo to Hawkins Middle. They jumped out to see Lucas, Dustin, and Will hopping off their bikes. Mike grabbed Eleven's hand and ran to them.
Mike: Hey guys!
Eleven: Hello.
Dustin & Lucas: Hey!!
Will: Hi guys.
Eleven gave a patient smile to them, then was dragged by Mike into the gym.
Troy: Oh great. Here comes Frog face and his friends. And his weirdo girlfriend.
Troy laughed with his friends, which was mockingly.
Eleven: Wow..
Mike looked at her, then looked around.
Mike: Okay, El! We should dance!
Will: Oh, here she comes!
Jennifer Haynes: Hey, Will.
Will smiled awkwardly. Lucas and Dustin watched, while whispering playfully.
Dustin: Hahaha!
Lucas, Whispering: Oh, Jennifer, marry me!~
Lucas was impersonating Will. Will only gave them a glare, and turned back to her.
Mike: Okay El, let's get some fruit punch!
Eleven nodded, and smiled.
Eleven: What is this?
Mike: It is punch. It is a drink, here.
He gave her a cup. Mike sipped his own. Then, he saw something unbelievable. It was Nancy and Jonathan, laughing together, like always. But they were blushing.
Nancy: Hah. You're really funny.
Jonathan scratched his back. He was a bit awkward.
Jonathan: Yeah..
Mike: Okay, El! Let's go see the others!
Dustin and Lucas waved. Will was busy dancing with Jennifer.
Dustin: Hey!
Lucas: Let me guess. You were hiding in a corner so you two can kiss.
Mike turned red.
Mike: No we weren't!
Dustin grinned.
Dustin: Well, you guys seen Nancy and Jonathan, right?
Lucas grinned at Dustin.
Lucas: Yeah. They're in l-o-v-e.
Eleven: I think so too.
Mike turned to Eleven.
Mike: You think, El?
Eleven nodded.
Mike: Well, you wanna dance?
Eleven nodded. Then Mike, grabbed her hand and took her to the middle of the room as Lucas and Dustin watched.
Eleven: ...
Mike stepped back and forward.
Mike: Just follow my steps, okay?
Troy laughed.
Mike in his thoughts: Don't let them ruin your night.. you have been waiting for this.
Mike: Get ready!
Eleven was spun around by Mike. They started to laugh, then stopped. Mike stared into Eleven's eyes.
Mike: —
Nancy was watching, with Jonathan.
Nancy: Mike ever since Eleven left wanted to dance with her like that, it was all he wanted. To just see her again, to just be with her.
Jonathan nodded.
Jonathan: I can see that.
Nancy bursted into laughter.
Nancy: Classic Mike, right?
Jonathan laughed, then a figure burst through the door angrily.
