YOooo it's me. School has started and it's the time of year where you might be a lil sluggish so I thought it'd be a good time to give you guys some motivation (we all need it) and tips!

1. Get your outfit and makeup ready the night before! - I know you may not love doing this but it definitely speeds up the time it takes to pick out something. Or at least have an idea of what you're gonna wear, for example say 'oh I want to wear that pair of ripped jeans tomorrow' so you just have to pick a top or vice versa.

2. Pack a small bag of touch up items - Include things like blotting sheets, feminine hygiene stuff, concealer, and deodorant in case you feel a little dirty or oily throughout the day. (I know I do) This could also be a good backup for your friends that need it on certain unexpected days if you know what I mean.

3. Set up multiple alarm clocks - Waking up for school is a struggle especially when you've got a boring class that day or you spent the entire night reading this book (lol not) Well, get two alarm clocks or one phone with multiple alarms, and set them 10 minutes apart. It definitely helps to wake you up after you hit the snooze button 50 times.

4. Set an annoying alarm- Pleasant alarms or music make it more difficult to wake up so set your phone or clock to a repetitive, annoying alarm or obnoxious radio station. Then for a second alarm, have a nice pleasant one so you don't wake up irritated ahah.

4. Get a good night's sleep! - Okay maybe this is a little hypocritical of me but getting enough sleep affects so many things in your life from your brain function to your mood to your physical health (including skin!). It's important! So if it's 1am right now where you're reading, turn your device off right now and go to sleep!

5. Listen to certain music- Jamming out to your fave songs may make homework less of a pain but it doesn't always help you get it done fast. Listening to any instrumental music, nature sounds, or basically any chill lyric-free song will calm your mind and focus it so much better, at least in my experience. If that's too boring for you, listen to sings that you don't really know the lyrics to, to prevent your mind from thinking about which lyrics to sing instead of focusing on homework. Trust me, you'll get it done faster.

6. Put your phone in another room- This is probably what your mom tells you but it actually helps. Turn off notification alerts and you'll be a lot less tempted to binge-scroll on Instagram when you really meant do some research.

7. Meditate- You don't have to be a monk to do this one. Look up some simple meditation sessions on the internet or YouTube, go to a fairly laid back place (even Starbucks), close your eyes and listen. If you don't have any idea what I'm talking about, just try it out and you'll see. It's not for everyone but for me, meditating helps me calm down and feel less stressed.

8. Quizlet- Quizlet is THE best site/app ever for studying especially for foreign language. I'm sure you all know what it is but if you don't, it's basically a site where you can input questions or vocab words and have output words that are the answers or definitions and stuff. It also includes a few game activities and practice test!

9. Goal Rewards- If you absolutely hate studying/homework and find that you can't bring yourself to focus. Create incentives for yourself! For example, if you have to read ten pages, place your fave candy or snack at the end of each paragraph to help convince you to keep going. Of course this requires self control not to eat all of them before you read haha!

11. Study with friends- It's sooooo much more fun and easier to study with friends and work on homework with them. Or create a shared Google Doc so you can ask each other questions live.

I hope this helped maybe even a little. Anyway, keep it up, school's a pain but trust me, it's good for you in the long run!

Xoxo , LL
