Part 7! You guys seem to like these so enjoy. :)
These are more 'lifey' life hacks rather than girly pampery beauty hacks, but don't worry! That's cause I'm going to being updating my Beauty Hacks chapter every so often and adding more beauty tips there, so it's all in one convenient place. Hope you don't mind.
- Got a pimple? Dab a little bit of honey on it and cover it with a bandaid. It speeds healing and works best overnight. (check out my DIY Spa Day chapter for DIY face masks)
- If you feel sleepy, hold your breath for as long as you can (without passing out), and breathe out slowly. This increases your heart rate and keeps you awake.
- Sore throat? Mix vinegar with honey and take 1 tablespoon 6 times a day. The vinegar will help kill bacteria, and honey is great for fading scars and calming inflammation.
- Dab Listerine or minty toothpaste on pimples to help dry them up and shrink them.
- Packing? Wrap shoes in a shower cap to save space and keep your clothes clean.
- Worried about burglars knocking down the doors? Replace the (very easy to kick down) 1/2 inch screws in the door plates with 4 inch screws for extra security. If they try to kick it, it'll be a lot more tiring and take them a while so you'll have time to stop them or get out. ;)
- Hide money in an empty Chapstick tube. (first you gotta use the balm to hydrate those crusty lips!)
- Shower taking too long to warm up? Turn it to the hottest temperature when you're removing your clothes and it should heat up faster. Then just adjust it before you jump in!
- Eating more than you should? (me too) Use a smaller plate! Your brain will think the plate is fuller.
- If you're in an interview, have good posture and before leaving the house, try not to wear too many colors. It makes you look less professional (depending on the job), and the posture helps you look confident. (Let me know if you want a full job resume/interview guide!)
- To prevent screws, string, bracelets knots (etc) from slipping, paint them with clear nail polish.
- Use cleaning spray or dish soap to exterminate bugs quickly. (I felt mean saying 'kill bugs')
- Got a stubborn splinter? Pour Elmer's Glue on it, wait for it to dry, and peel it off. Hopefully the splinter will stick to the glue and come right out!
That's all I have for you today! I loved doing the Fashion Tag btw, so if you want me to do more tags and challenges, just comment them!
Hope you learned something new, and have an amazing day. :)
Xoxo, Leah
