hello im back! i hope you're all doing well and staying home safe and healthy! it's definitely a really strange time of our lives but hopefully things get better soon. also today's technically actually the first day of my spring break so i thought i would hop on here and publish something :) hope you enjoy!

Ruching - This isn't a specific clothing piece, but it's more just a type of clothing detail I've seen trending everywhere. Ruching has become so so popular these days, especially in spring/summer clothing pieces! In case you don't know what it is, ruching is basically a sewing style that makes a seam of fabric bunch up in a way that's super flattering. It's kinda hard to explain, but if you look it up I'm sure tons of examples will show up! Ruched bustier tops and summer dresses are some of my favorite pieces that incorporate this style, and I'm definitely going to buy a few of my own!

Bustier/peasant tops (with sleeves) - I feel like I've talked about these before, but they're making a comeback this season! These types of tops are so so pretty and seriously flattering on anyone! They give off a kind of natural feminine fairy-like energy that I love and I'm definitely going to pick up some of these for myself this year! Bustier look super cute with mom/straight cut jeans,  shorts, or mini skirts.

Statement sweatpants - When I say I love sweatpants, I mean I LOVE sweatpants and I'm so happy sweatpants are starting to become more of a stylish piece rather than just at-home loungewear. The sweatpants I've been seeing all over the internet come in tie-dye colors and unique graphic designs. The online store "Shadow Hill" sells a bunch of sweats like this (though they're a bit expensive; I'd just browse for style inspo), but you can find them anywhere. The good thing about this trend is that it's pretty much timeless and of course comfortable!

Chain accessories - I feel like this trend arose from Tiktok fashion but maybe that's just me. Either way, I'm in love with it. Not too long ago, dainty small jewelry was the all the hype (and it's still a beautiful, subtle way to accessorize don't get me wrong!), but now sturdier and thicker jewelry is what's currently trending. Chains add such a cool vibe to your look and can spice up the simplest of outfits. Wear chain-style necklaces with simple tops, or add a chain belt to your mom jeans, cigarette pants, or skirt! If you're not the "edgy" type and not sure if this matches your aesthetic, you can still find chain accessories like necklaces that are thinner and come layered with a pretty charm or pendant. A good place to find affordable chain accessories is YesStyle!

Baggy jeans - Skinny jeans who? Bye, boyfriend jeans. Baggy jeans are EVERYWHERE these days and I'm so here for it. Wide-leg, baggy high waist jeans paired with cute crop tops make for an effortlessly simple, yet chic and comfy look, perfect for any casual occasion. They emphasize your waist can make your legs look super long! Some people may not like baggy jeans but I personally love them so much.

Hairbands - These are the types of hairbands that go across the top of your head! Right now, hairbands aren't super popular among the masses yet, but I've seen them worn by a lot of my favorite fashion influencers, so here's the rundown on your newest favorite hair accessory trend. Now, I feel like when you think of hairbands or headbands or whatever you like the call them,  you might think of those thick hard ones that poke behind your ears and hurt your head. But in reality, there are SO many hairbands that are super comfortable and cute that are elastic and covered with fabric! Hairbands come in a variety of different textures, fabrics, materials, patterns, colors, and styles, some with ties on the top, some with a twisted detail, and more! They can totally tie your look together from head to toe.

Matcha green/Lime green - Remember when it seemed like wearing the color green was basically atrocious? Well the times have changed because it looks like light green is the new light pink! Especially for the spring and summer time. This muted tone color gives off a fresh and gentle vibe and livens up any plain outfit! My favorite shade of green is matcha green, idk why but it just looks so calm and sweet.

Crop top and cardigan sets - These sets are so so adorable. They make you look so well put together but are also comfortable and easy to throw on in the morning. I can definitely see these being really popular in the spring, and they're also especially convenient to wear because you can take off the cardigan if it gets too hot!

Middle part wispy side bangs - Okay I know this isn't a fashion trend, but I wanted to share a beauty trend! I don't really know how to describe this hairstyle but if you search it up you can get an idea of what I'm talking about. A lot of celebrities and influencers have this hairstyle currently! This is definitely just personal preference because everyone likes their hair a certain way, but I love this style of bangs. They frame your face really nicely and add a bit of visual volume and texture to your hair!

i hope you got inspiration and enjoyed this little chapter! i know you guys love trend alerts and i absolutely love fashion so these are fun for me too. these are some of the most noticeable trends i've seen all over the internet, and it's the middle of spring/almost summer so i figured this would be the perfect timing to post another trend alert :)

during this time, i've been thinking about starting a youtube channel so if you're here, let me know if you'd watch or what kinds of videos i should post!
