A/N: My birthday is tomorrow, so I figured I'd post the new chapter a day early. Enjoy <3
CHAPTER 7
I trudged over to the shark stage, silently screaming at myself for coming here. I should have listened to Lynn, I should've just gone to someone else's set. I told myself that the only reason I was doing it was to help the guys out and get some extra cash, but I knew that deep down there was another reason why.
"Hey, thank God you came!" Ben pulled me into a hug.
"Ey, easy there Bruce. I'm only here because it's a good way to make some extra cash by doing something I love."
"And because you love us," he chimed in.
"Eh I don't know," I laughed.
"Such a savage," he smiled. "Okay just gets shots or footage of us doing whatever during the set, so we can put it up on the site and stuff."
The rest of the guys came over and I hugged them all. They thanked me for filling in for their usual photographer, and I said it was no problem.
"Alright we gotta get ready to get out there," Cameron said, pushing his black hair out of his eyes.
"Yo Dennis get your ass out here!" Ben yelled.
Dennis ran out from the other side of the stage. "Hey, sorry I was helping out the guitar techs."
"Dude you're not a tech anymore, you're the lead singer of the band," Ben laughed.
"I know, but I still like doing it. I only stopped about a few months ago. I'm still getting used to all of this."
"You're living the dream, just enjoy it," I said quietly.
"I'm trying," I heard Dennis say under his breath.
Their manager came over, looking stressed out. "Guys if you don't get your scrawny asses out there soon, the crowd is going to come back here and get you themselves."
The guys laughed, walking out on stage. I took my place at the foot of the stage in front of the barricade.

"You should shoot for us more often, these are great,' Ben said.
"Thanks, I think I got some really good ones today," I said.
"Dennis take a look at this shit, she's better than Brandon," Ben called him over.
"Damn," Dennis said, looking through the pictures in my camera.
It had been an hour since their set and I was sitting in their bus showing them the pictures from today. Neck Deep had the last set tonight at 8:05 so I had plenty of time.
"Alright," I said, once we had finished, "I'm gonna head out and try to see some other sets."
"Hey I'll walk with you. I haven't seen anyone since the tour started," Dennis called after me.
Fuck. "Um, okay..." well now avoiding him isn't even a possibility.
The two of us walked in silence for about ten minutes before he finally spoke up.
"So how have you been?" he asked.
"Okay I guess. You?"
"Alright... I've been thinking a bit too much I think," he said quietly.
"Why do you say that?" I asked, concerned.
"Just a lot of things that have been going on," he said.
I knew I shouldn't be getting involved. I was getting myself into his life again, when I should be staying away from it at all costs. But I just couldn't help myself. He used to be my friend, no matter what's happened in the past few years, I still wanted to be there for him if he needed me. Even if he wouldn't be there for me.
