"You guys did what?!" Lynn's eyes widened.
"We broke up," I said quietly.
"But why?" she asked.
"It just wasn't working. Ever since Dennis kissed me, we had been drifting apart. My feelings for Dennis were back and I didn't want to admit it. Neither of us did, but we had to if either of us wanted to be happy," I ran a hand through my hair.
"Well that's just... wow. I'm just really surprised, I didn't think your feelings were that strong."
"Neither did I, I thought I could get over it, but I just couldn't. Should I tell Dennis?" I asked nervously.
"I think you should wait a few days. Let everything cool down. And if he comes to you first, then tell him. But don't go to him first, hold off for a little bit."
"Alright," I sighed, leaning my head against her stomach. "What would I do without you Lynn?"
"I don't know probably fall down a hole and die or something," she shrugged.
"Damn, you really have a lot of faith in me," I laughed.
"Eh, to be honest you'd probably be fine without me. You survived before you met me, and you turned out just fine. You could be totally fine without me, and that's a good thing, not that I'm planning on leaving anytime soon."
"Damn, I packed your bags and everything though," I smirked.
She hit me the arm," Hey you can't get rid of me that easy kid."
"I'm still a year older than you," I said.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever," she laughed.
