CHAPTER 3
I stood there not saying anything. That name sent shudders down my spine. I felt goosebumps rising on my skin. I knew who he was, I knew a lot more than that too. Hearing that name again awakened something in me that I thought was dead.
Ben gave me a worried glance, "Allison are you okay?"
I almost couldn't speak, but I managed to stutter out a few words, "I-I'm fine. I'm j-just surprised is all..."
"Wow I mean, I never thought I'd see you again, not in person at least. I can't believe you're the new front man, I knew you'd go far, but wow."
Dennis stared at me as if he was trying to figure out who I was. Ouch, that hurt a little. "You know what I should go, you probably don't remember me anyways. I gotta go see Neck Deep's sound check."
I bolted off back towards the stage only to see that Blessthefall was doing their sound check. I took a deep breath and got back into my original state of mind, taking pictures of the band as they practiced for the day.
Maybe it was better that he didn't remember me. Maybe he had moved on too. I mean I was with Ben now and I had a great photography job. What we had was in the past, and I was almost sure that it would never occur again. He probably thinks I'm as big a mess as I used to be.

"—and life's not out to get you, despite the things you've been through," Ben sang. I smiled as I watched Neck Deep's set and got pictures of all the action.
They finished the song and threw some guitar picks out to the crowd. "We're Neck Deep, thank you guys so much for coming out today. Go check out some of the other bands playing, and we hope to see you soon," Ben told the crowd.
He ran backstage with the rest of the band and I followed suit. I was met by a hug from a very sweaty Ben when I got up there.
"Ben I love you, but you're kinda gross right now," I laughed.
He pulled away from me smiling, "You know you love me."
"Mmmm... Do I? Do I really?"
He laughed, pecking me on the cheek. "I'll see you in a little while, okay? Go check out some bands and mosh your heart out. I'll meet up with you after I shower and change."
"Okay," I smiled, waving goodbye to the rest of the band and crew. I walked off towards Pvris's set so I could see Lynn.
On the way, I bumped into someone running and fell down, "Really?" I groaned.
"Sorry love," I blocked the sun to see who was there. Dennis. Fuck.
"It's fine, but could you at least help me up?" I asked sticking out my hand for him to grab. He pulled me up.
"Sorry about before by the way, I was probably really annoying. But I just thought that you would remember me, but that's okay. I understand why you would, I'm not exactly a memorable person."
"No it's okay. Don't worry about it. I meet so many people every day it just gets harder to remember everyone," Dennis said.
I don't know why but that hurt me even more. I thought I was a memorable part of his life, but I guess not. "Y-yeah it's okay. I feel like an idiot for even mentioning I knew you."
"Are you okay?" he asked.
"Somewhat," I said. "Well I-I gotta go get pictures of Pvris's set so uh bye."
I sprinted away towards the unicorn stage, ignoring the calls behind me. I got there just in time to hear the last song, which s happened to be mirrors.
"I know you're dead inside, but you make me feel alive... I'll wait to see you again," Lynn sang out to the crowd and I smiled.
Once they finished I ran backstage and hugged Lynn tightly. "Woah are you okay? She asked.
"I need to talk to you. You want to take a walk with me?"
