Revision (Sequel to Whirlwind)

Chapter 5

CHAPTER 5

I woke up at around 11:00 wrapped in Ben's arms. It was our day off so we wouldn't have to worry about shows and schedules. I turned over so that I was facing him, the bunk was tiny but since there were only six bunks in the bus and five of them were taken up by the band, I had volunteered to sleep in Ben's bunk so one of the crew members could have a spot.

I kissed Ben's cheek, and watched as his eyes slowly opened a smile forming on his face. He pulled me closer to him, running his hands through my hair. I put my head on his chest and smiled.

"So what do you want to do today?" I yawned.

"Well we're in Brooklyn, so I was thinking we get the subway over to Manhattan and explore," Ben said into my neck.

I nodded slightly, "Sounds cool to me. I'll go get ready now," I attempted to crawl out of the bunk, only to be pulled back in Ben.

"Five more minutes," he mumbled.

"We're losing daylight babe," I giggled as I watched him slowly struggle to get up.

I messed with his hair before giving him a peck on the cheek before running to get dressed for the day.

"So Lynn told me that I should try Ramen from Ramen. Co while we're over here today. She said it's downtown over on wall street," I told Ben as we walked around downtown Manhattan.

In a way it wasn't that different from England, but at the same time, New York was so different. It was cool over here. We had already stopped at two street fairs and about five different stores to see what they had here.

I saw the restaurant that Lynn had told us to check out and ran in, going straight to the counter. I pulled out a menu and looked at what they had. Ben was laughing at how excited I was about this. We ordered and sat down at the corner table.

Once the food came, I realized why Lynn had told us to come here. "This is really good. It's kind of like Pot Noodles but it's got more flavor, and meat, and other stuff."

"You're such a dork," Ben laughed.

I smiled at him as I struggled with getting the noodles to stay on the chop sticks. Today had been fun so far, just exploring and enjoying each other's company. We had gotten kicked out of Central Park because I had climbed a tree and Ben had followed me up. Apparently the NYPD didn't appreciate tree climbing.

But it was still so much fun, we still had a few hours left until we had to go back to the bus so we could go to next city.

"So what's next on the adventure list?" I asked.
