~~~Back to Allison's Point of View~~~
I don't know what I'm doing. I've seen pictures of photographers doing things like this before, but I've never done anything like this.
I was hanging off the stage supports about thirty feet above the stage, taking pictures for Blessthefall. They said they wanted some high risk pictures, I was definitely giving them that. I was gripping the supports tightly with one hand, my feet anchored to one of the rungs, whilst taking pictures with my other hand. The crew was standing close by in case I slipped and fell.
I have to admit, I as scary as this was, I was getting some amazing shots. Their set was almost over, but I wanted to get some more shots so I slowly climbed up higher on the supports. I was now at the top of the support which was about fifty feet high. I pulled myself into a sitting position on top of the support, holding on tightly. I was beyond scared at this point, but at the same time I felt as if I was on top of the world.
As the set reached its end, I slowly climbed down the rungs. I could practically feel my heart beating out of my chest.
When I finally reached the bottom, the band had just finished their set. i stood on the side of the stage, trying to catch my breath.
"Thank you all so much for coming out here today, it means the world to us. Thanks for always believing in us, it's because of you that we're up here on the main stage of Vans fucking Warped Tour!" Beau yelled to the crowd, a smile on his face. He ran over to me and pulled me out onto the stage, "And thanks to one of my closest friends, Allison for risking her life to take pictures of us from the top of the supports."
I smiled, hugging him tightly. I took a few pictures of the crowd and the band before running off the stage. That was definitely a rush, I've got to try things like that more often.
I took out my camera to check out the pictures that I had taken during their set, only to be stopped by Beau tackling me to the floor.
I hit the floor with a thud, thankfully I had protected my camera. "You ass," I laughed.
"That was fucking amazing! I can't believe you actually listened to me and went up there for pictures!" Beau said.
"I couldn't believe I did either, I was scared out of my mind up there," I sat up.
"Thank you so much for doing that for us. I owe you one," he pushed his hair out of his eyes.
"You don't have to, you're already paying me for the shots," I laughed.
"Yeah, but that was more than just normal shots. That was probably the riskiest thing you've ever done. I owe you, okay?"
"Fine," I said, pulling him into another hug.
