~~~~~Two Years Later~~~~
I was laying on the roof of Dennis's house, my head on his chest. He had me pulled close to him, and I felt so content. We were laying on a blanket watching the stars. The Norwich sky was clear and beautiful tonight, I didn't want to be anywhere else but here in Dennis's arms.
I felt him move around, so I turned my head to face him. He slowly slid out from under me, standing up. I watched as he walked towards the end of the roof.
He stood there for a few minutes before I got up to join him. "You okay?" I asked quietly.
"I've never been better..."
He turned to face me, a serious look on his face. What was he planning?
"We've been together for over two years now, but we've known each other for eight," he started. "I lost you for a while, and losing you was one of the worst things that could have ever happened to me. I would never want to lose you again. You mean the world to me Allison..."
"You mean a lot to me too Dennis," I smiled at him.
"God I'm nervous.... Would you stay in my life for as long as possible, and marry me?"
My eyes widened, and I felt my hand go up to my mouth as I watched him get down on one knee. Holy fucking shit, this was actually happening. I nodded my head, feeling tears form in my eyes. He slowly slid the ring onto my finger, and I can't even begin to explain how I felt at that moment.
Once he stood up, I jumped onto him, being careful not to knock the two of us off the roof. He caught me, holding onto m tightly. I kissed him passionately before hugging him tightly.
"I love you so much..." I breathed.
"I love you too. I never want to have to live without you again," he stroked my hair.
I pulled my head back to face him, "Well now you never have to. I'll be here, always, until the day I die. I will never stop loving you Dennis Shaforostov."
"And I promise that I will never stop loving you either Allison Carter. You are the best thing that's ever happened to me."
I jumped down, pulling him into me, smiling, "And you are the best thing that has ever happened to me."
The space between us was broken by his lips crashing into mine. This was deeper than any kiss we'd ever shared. We truly loved each other, and we always had. I couldn't believe that I was going to be his wife.
