Revision (Sequel to Whirlwind)

Chapter 9

CHAPTER 9

I didn't want to get out of bed the next day. I wanted to stay in my bed and just forget about everything, but I knew that wasn't an option. I couldn't let everyone down. I heard Ben walk over to my bunk and pull the blankets off of me.

"Hey, we have an early set today. You got to get up," he said softly rubbing small circles on my arm.

"Nnnn," I groaned. "Five more minutes?"

He chuckled, "Babe you gotta get up. Come on, do it and I promise I'll buy you a Slurpee later."

I rolled over and smiled at him, pressing a quick kiss to his lips. "Fine, I'll get up and put on pants, but only because I love you."

"Aw but I kinda like you without pants," he smirked at me.

I shoved him onto the couch. "Then it sucks to be you pretty boy," I kissed him again. I could get over Dennis just like I did before. I had everything I could ever need right in front of me.

"And I hope I don't drag you down, cause I'm starting to feel alright thanks to you. And I hope this can all work out, cause I feel like myself when I'm running my head to the ground."

I smiled as I watched Ben sing. Snapping one last shot before their set ended. Once they finished, I went backstage to see him.

"You guys were great out there," I said.

"Thanks, we try to be," Lloyd, their guitarist, said.

I punched him in the arm and he laughed at me. "So where's Ben?"

"He ran back to the bus, said he had to change or something," he said.

"Alright thanks, tell him I'll meet up with him after Asking. I gotta take a few pictures for them," I said walking off the stage.

I walked right into Ben Bruce, "Ey watch it Bruce."

"Same could be said for you, you Brit brat," he laughed.

"You better watch yourself. I could totally butcher these pictures today and accidentally "delete" the ones from the past few days," I replied.

"You wouldn't dare," he tried to grab the camera from me, but I was faster than him.

I laughed as I watched him try to take it from me, only to fail miserably. I dodged him each time until finally he gave in.

"Loser," I laughed.

"Oh you must be talking about yourself again. Sorry but I can't hear you over the sound of this crowd," Ben retorted.

"Touché," I smirked.

"Guys, as hilarious as it is, to watch you go at it, we have a show to do," Cameron said, hitting Ben in the back.

I watched them perform, taking a few pictures and short videos. When it came time for the last song, I decided that it was time for me to finally have some fun. I talked to the security guard for a few minutes before putting my camera on the edge of the stage.

This was a first for me, but I was going to give it a shot. I got on the ledge of the barricade, watching as some fans got excited and others became annoyed.

"Once you're back there, we can't help you," the security guard said, holding onto my back.

"I know, I'll be okay," I said, taking a deep breath.

I stepped onto the top of the barricade and fell backwards into the crowd. That initial moment was nerve racking, but it worked out pretty well. The crowd caught me, passing me around before taking me back towards the front. I fell right into the security guard's arms and smiled at him.

"Thanks, that was amazing!" I said, out of breath.

"No problem, just be careful out there kid."

"Will do," I picked my camera back up, taking a few more pictures before the set ended.

A/N: So Denis is no longer a part of Asking Alexandria.  I'm still a fan, because I've been one since before Denis was a part of the band.  My story takes place in the past anyway, so it doesn't really affect it much, but I am still upset that Denis is out and wish I knew more about what happened.  I'm curious to see how it works out for the band with Danny back.  Especially since I'll be seeing them again in November.

The book will go along as scheduled since it's already written and such, but I just figured I should talk about Denis leaving.  Feel free to talk in the comments about it, and I hope you liked this chapter.
