Day 12.
Over the past few days I have been retrieving information from Cameron and trying to get closer with him for my mission.
Today he insisted on inviting me to a party that he is holding. I was to wear a dress he picked out for me and attempt to do my make up and hair.
As I was putting my hair straightener away, my buzzer went off saying someone was here for me.
I knew it was Cameron coming to pick me up. I told him I would be down in a little bit.
"You look beautiful Mia." He greets me with a warm hug. I smile.
"You don't look bad yourself." He shrugs.
"I try." He looks down a bit. "I have to tell you something. It's something you wouldn't usually hear."
"Of course?" He opens the passenger door for me and I slide in. He runs around to the other side and begins to drive once he puts the key in the ignition.
"So you know how I lost my girlfriend years ago? Around that time my parents got a divorce and my father became very aggressive and tried to kill my mom. She went to the hospital for a while and my dad took me somewhere away from home. He told me about this gang. A gang that he was to continue that his father started when he was seventeen exactly. When I turned seventeen , it was my turn t take over and recruit new members. I had to kill my dad in front of the new recruits as an initiation. It hurt me to see my moms face when I told her he died. She still loved him." He wipes his eyes a little. "I want to be completely honest with you because I like you. I'm the leader of a gang. They're my friends. They won't hurt you and I don't want you to be afraid of me. I'm more harmless than a lot of humans. I'm probably just as scared but act tough. Please don't think different of me." He had to pull over and look at me.
"Cameron I-" he places a hand on my thigh.
"I really like you Mia. You remind me of Gracie."
"I don't think differently of you. You don't look like someone who would lead a gang anyways. You're still the Cameron I first met and took me to get food. You will still be that Cameron." He leans in and places his lips on mine. They were sweet and soft. Plump and warm. He puts his thumb and index finger on my chin and pulls back.
All he did was smile, move back and continue to drive back to his house.
We entered the house without another word. It was silence in the car, now we've entered a new world full of music, screams and loud conversations. I could smell the distinctness of vodka and other alcoholic substances.
"Ace be careful in here alright?" I hear Marcus say. I sigh and am dragged by Cameron to a table with cups full of mixed drinks. The smell was strong.
I told him and myself that I wasn't going to drink. Ever. One wouldn't hurt.
I pick up the cup and drink it in one go.
It had a funny taste to it, and a weird texture.
I put the empty cup down and look at Cameron. He was laughing. Everyone around me was laughing. They were all doing something odd. It made me laugh. It made me do some odd things.
Everything seemed like it was going in slow motion, but it felt normal.
Cameron began to walk up to me and take my hand. He whispered something in my ear but I couldn't hear over the blasting music. He lead me somewhere in the house. All I could do was laugh. I was in a hysterical mood.
He closes a door and turns to me, turning on a light.
"This is where I call you mine." He says. Walking closer to me, he grabs something from a drawer. I hit something and begin to fall. It felt like I was falling forever until I came back to reality.
