Chapter 28- Gotta Pick Myself Up

"If you don't accept it,...then I won't let you fight. I'll hug you leg so that you can't go there!" Niall threatens, eyes wide. Liam had to laugh out loud at Niall's threat, because it was too cute to be a threat. "I want you to have it so that we can contact each other. I can call you when I miss you, send you pictures-Look I even put my picture in the phone already! And I can send you cute text messages like couples do on TV," 

How can Liam say no after listening to Niall's small rant?

"Okay," Liam smiled fondly at Niall who grins widely at Liam's answer. "But I'm not accepting this as a gift,..but as a loan. I'll pay you back babe," 

"But I-" Niall wanted to protest but as always, Liam cuts him off with a deep kiss.

"It's a loan, I'll try to fight less and more caution baby," Liam stated firmly, much like Niall's father would whenever he spoke with Zayn. Niall nodded, understanding their agreement. 

"Good, now lets kiss, kiss and kiss. Because a weekend without you is torture babe," Liam suggested "Plus, we already thirty minutes late for first period," 

So, the two lovers kissed under the dim light bulb, unbeknownst to a pair of eyes watching them intently.

"Chris? What the hell are you doing here?" Freddie asked when Zayn walked into the Biology lab for his tutoring session. Freddie knew that Zayn didn't need tutoring because he was doing fairly well on the subject, but it was the only way to win Zayn. Yes, he did expect it to be the cliche tutoring session where he'll be nice, romantic and funny so that Zayn would fall hopelessly in love with him again. But when he saw his cousin walked through the door, right behind Zayn, he knew that his plan isn't going as planned. 

"Hello cuz," Chris grins like a Cheshire cat. "Surprised?" 

"W-Wait," Zayn stuttered, looking back and forth between Chris and Freddie. "Y-You guy k-know each other?" 

"Of course, he's my favourite cousin," Chris stated, still grinning but with a slight anger in his eyes.  

"B-Bu-But why didn't you tell me he was your cousin?" Zayn asked, feeling slightly betrayed and horrified.  

"Why didn't you tell me that you're Biology teacher is your ex-boyfriend?" Chris countered, folding his arm in front of his chest.

When he first heard his cousin's name escaping Zayn's mouth, he knew that something was up. Chris knew that Freddie had a thing for younger lads - not the pedophile kind- teenagers mostly, and he did mentioned that he was seeing one of his students during their family get-together, before Chris had met Zayn. When Zayn told him his problems with  his Biology teacher, he waited for Zayn to admit that he also used to date his teacher. But Zayn didn't mention anything, just saying that his Biology teacher has a thing for him and always flirt with him. Luckily, Chris managed to put the pieces of puzzle together.  Chris was slightly hurt that Zayn didn't want to tell him that he used to date his teacher, and who is also his cousin.  

It also didn't help that Chris and Freddie has a rivalry sort-of-relationship. Ever since they were little, they always fought with each other over everything; from football games, Easter egg hunting, Christmas presents, Game-boy games, chess, exam grades, and even trophies collection. As teenagers, they competitiveness didn't falter, in fact, it became more and more severe. It was bad to the extent that they always went after the same guy but at the end, Freddie always gets the guy, because he was much more charming and cheekier than Chris. And now, Chris silently vowed that he won't lose to his cousin, because Zayn is too beautiful to be with his jerk-of-a-cousin.
