They say time heals all wounds, that all you need to feel better after a breakup or the loss of a loved one is time to grieve and move on.
But not everyone can.
Some people are stuck in limbo, trapped in a neverending loop of suffering, forced to live that accursed day over and over until the end of time.
"Goodbye..."
"I love you.."
"Meet me under that old tree, okay man?"
Last words, heard over and over, repeating endlessly.
"Breaking news; we've just got word of a catastrophic rail accident in downtown LA. There are no survivors."
A news report played over and over.
Finding the body, feeling that same pain.
Some people just can't move on, no matter how hard they try.
They say time heals all wounds, but for some, each passing day is like another slash of a poisoned knife, the wound festering and burning.
Some long to forget, some wish with all their hearts that the moment could be wiped from their mind forever.
Some wish they could forget the person entirely.
Some are beyond help, beyond healing.
For some, moving on, forgetting, is the bitter pill they would give anything to take.
