He'd been watching the raven-haired man for a while now; watching, waiting, longing for the day to come when he could finally make his move.
Nathan Sharp, his pure and precious clematis. Hair as dark as night, a pure and innocent smile, eyes that always seemed to shine and a voice that could melt even a heart of stone. How it infuriated him. This mortal, he didn't deserve those gifts. He squandered them, the fool, and he, he would take them for his own.
Now, finally, he had his chance. Nate had invited him over, for a music thing he'd said, this would be his masterpiece. It was a darker song, one for Halloween, and he was to play the role of the captive like The Theorist had done the year prior. He tried to keep up the helpless, fearful facade, but it was oh so difficult. His prey was right there, his guard down, practically begging to be taken. But he persevered; 'patience,' he thought to himself, 'patience and you'll have him. '
His bonds, he'd noticed, were tighter than Matthew's had been. And his gag was properly in place.
Not that that would matter.
He clenched his fists at his sides, every part of his mind screaming to kill
Kill
KILL
No, he mustn't. Not with the cameras rolling. It'd be too tempting to upload the footage of his art process. No he must be patient.
But then that line was sung;
'There's no way to escape,
Dare you to try and run.
And if you try and fight me off then death will surely come."
That did it. There were two horrific snaps as he popped his arms out of joint, letting the ropes fall away before returning his shoulders to their sockets and removing the gag.
Nate had already frozen in place, staring at him in mixed shock and fear. But, as he turned to the musician, the shock was replaced with pure terror.
Nate backed away slowly, hands held up defensively. "J-jared? W-what're you doing man?"
Jared laughed, advancing on Nate, a hand going behind his back and reaching up his shirt, bringing out a dagger with a blade of sharpened and polished jade. "What am I doing? Ah, Nathan, you never were the smartest were you?" Closer. "Isn't it obvious?" Closer. "I'm going to kill you." Jared's cold eyes, the same colour as his dagger, flashed with menace, a wide grin splitting his face.
Nate's retreating got faster, he turned and ran for the door through the darkness behind the studio lights. But something was wrong; as fast as he ran, he didn't seem to be gaining ground on Jared, no, not Jared. It couldn't be Jared. A gust blew past him and Nate found himself thrown to the floor with a foot on his chest and this creature who looked like hsifriend glaring down at him. The musician's body trembled, his heart pounded, his chest heaved. Those eyes... they were like two chips of glacial sea-ice, of frozen jade. He felt something, something primal, begin to awaken, and the shadows in the room began to converge on the pair.
Jared smirked, "Ah, ah, ah~" he taunted, his voice sickeningly sweet, "No cheating Nathan. I'm not using my abilities yet, and you really don't want me to."
There was a swelling in his chest, he could feel it growing, feel it emerging from the depths of his soul where he'd imprisoned it months ago. Fearful, dark brown eyes turned pure black for an instant, the world fading momentarily, before returning.
A disappointed sigh from the other, he bent down and grabbed Nate by the collar, hauling him up to eye level. "Didn't you just hear what I said?" he hissed. "I said; no cheating." His voice became almost demonic in its tone, the hiss gutteral and dripping with venom. His pupils dilated briefly before shrinking back down, but this time they were slits. Jared tilted his head as he saw Nate flinch in reaction to this. "Curious," he mused. "Afraid of snakes are we?"
Nate scrabbled at Jared's grip, the other shouldn't be that strong. Nate rememebered Jared's grip being quite weak actually. "No.. I'm j-just scared of what you've done to Jared. H-he's my friend. Y-you aren't him... he's nowhere near strong enough to lift me, not fast enough to outpace me.
A dark chuckle escaped Jared as he pinned the musician to the nearest wall, "Oh, but Nathan, I am Jared, this is who I've always been, I've just been holding back. Think about it, if you knew from the start I was this strong, this fast, this powerful would this have been nearly as spectacular? No. You'd've been expecting this, prepared for this. If you'd known what I was capable of, this wouldn't be anywhere near as entertaining." He gently caressed the side of Nate's face with a slender hand, his pale eyes flashing with a malicious glee as he ran his dagger across his neck, making the other man shiver at its coldness. "You know, I had intended to kill you. I wanted to take your voice, your eyes, your skin for my own. But no, I have a much better idea." He leant in, his lips right next to Nate's ear, brushing them as he spoke in a serpentine hiss. "I'm gonna make you all mine~"
